Hey guys,

Recently got a new job in Dallas so I'm gonna be moving all the way from Jersey. I have one huge problem. I recently hit a major pothole and it tore up the plastic under lining, chipped my Nismo bumper AND now my A/C wont work. I won't have any time to get it fixed before movin out there in the next few weeks and was wondering if anyone can recommend a trustworthy good body shop in Dallas where I can get all of this fixed. I know Texas heat can get brutal so I need to get on this asap.

Also, I'm gonna need a good quote on insurance down there. Any recommendations for a single male age 26?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Welcome!!

Contact AMICA for insurance - you wont be dissappointed. Full coverage for 2 cars for $160 per month (Ive had them since I was 27 with tickets out the wazzooo)

Plenty of shops however I know a few fellas that have their own paint booth and do KILLER work on the bumper..

For the A/C - there's plenty of reputable shops here that will take good care of ya.. you will need that FOR SURE..

awesome. Thanks guys for the quick help. Full coverage for 2 cars is only $160?! is this over 6 months? That's still insanely cheap. I'm looking to get all the body work, A/C repair, etc done at one place actually....for convenience. The other thing that's wrong since the pothole, is a strange rattling noise during deceleration around 1800 rpm. So when I rev the engine, or decelerate, right at 1800 rpms...there is a rattling noise. So yeah... I'm thinking a body shop can sort it all out?

^^^ yes sir...rattling noise sounds like a cat issue though - I have HFC's and have the same thing - but Ive had it since Ive gotten them so it doesnt bother me much.

The AMICA quote is 1 yr not 6 mos ($160 per MONTH for 1 year)..I swear by them, and Ive had state farm, allstate and progressive. AMICA has by far the best CS Ive ever had which is why I switched over everything over to them - house, cars, life insurance...you get discounts for that too.

There are plenty of shops to choose from and just check out Jasons second link - has them ALL listed.. just do some homework and find the place that will suit all your needs..

You're probably right about the cats. The cats could have banged against the road. Ive been wanting HFC's anyway...so i guess i'll upgrade later on.

Wow I still can't believe how cheap your insurance is. But then again, Jersey does have one of the highest rates in the country. Thanks again.

160$ a year? What kind of coverage are you getting with that? 5/10/5? Liability only? Can't be good coverage..no way for that price. That's what I pay like a month, but than again I am younger. I may have to check them out.

Welcome to TX. Seems like Texas is a big melting pot, you'll find that a lot of people out here aren't originally from here. I'm from Cali and I know lots of people that moved here from all over the country.

And yes, maybe Dallas doesn't have the humidity that we have down here in H-town but you gotta get that A/C working ASAP!

Welcome to the DFW.....I hope you like Hot & Humid, 'cause that's all we get here.

I have a friend that works for Farmers Ins. let me know if you need his number.

Also try to get out to a meet if possible to meet some of the guys around here like AcidJake & JasonZ-Ya. These two can basically do anything on your Z you need.
