I overnighted the ecu and they fixed it, i had it back in the car in 3-4 days or so.
Are the revup ECUs more likely to lock up?

Have you successfully flashed your ECU with Osiris since the initial lockup?

Mine locked up again but remember i still have some beta stuff im using so it shouldnt be indicative of osiris, and the one you guys have. It doesnt bother me much though because I have tested lots of beta things and sometimes they do not work the way they are supposed to. But I do love the way my car runs with it.

I'm back up and running!

Many thanks to Matt, Chung, and Jared at UpRev for their help. I sent my ECU out Monday and received it back today, Wednesday, at 11am this morning. UpRev repaired my ECU and also installed the Osiris tune that they created for me.

I spent a few minutes testing out the multiple maps and the switching is very natural. It's like map switching is an OEM part of the car! I haven't driven it or tested any of the maps for performance yet. I wanted to let everyone know that everything works fine and I'm good to go. I'll post again after I've driven it a bit.

Thanks, UpRev!

I've had the Osiris system for about2 weeks.
Here are my results to date;
I have data before and after flashing, taken under the following conditions:
Same road, same direction, approx. the same weather and time of day.
Put the car in 4 gear (6mt) mash the gas down to the floor and start collecting data, accelerate to 6000 RPM before letting off gas, stop collecting data.
Compare time logs between 2700 RPM and 6000 RPM.
Baseline before 1st flash -- 14.741 sec
General maps from Uprev -- 14.671 sec
Re-tune based on data I sent to Uprev --14.390 sec.
Total improvement so far, about .35 seconds.
I think there's still room to improve.
Thanks Jared!

Reflashed mine tonight without issue. It really was simple. Just be sure to follow the instructions and you should have no problems. The feeling of the car is improved. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can post more info. Unfortunately I do not have stock widebands so I cannot get further fine tuning via cipher logs at this time, however, when/if they make aftermarket wideband support available, I will be the first on the boat to try it.

General maps as in the first flash they send you where they assume your AFR & add timing based on your mods?

As far as collecting data, its nothing complicated right? Just collect the data they asked for?

Regarding these times you posted: im assuming this is on the G-Tech with no bottle... (?)

RedondoG, I don’t know how consistent driver you are, but can you please compare couple runs with “Stock” map vs Baseline before 1st flash. Thanks

I think that posting dyno pulls before/after would be very informative!

UpRev sends instructions with Osiris. They list the parameters you need to log for a data run and how to do it. I posted the parameters a bit farther back in this thread.

I think he took the times directly from his Cipher log.

Question for the UpRev guys:

What are your store ours between Monday (07/30) and Wednesday (08/01)? I am in Austin and want to pay you a visit!

Thanks!

Henry,
_jb is right , the time logs are part of the data generated by the Cipher logs. (no bottle).

Dovla,
The system I used "same road, same direction, same weather and time of day, put the car in 4 gear (6mt) mash the gas down to the floor (no shifting)" was designed to take any driver input out of the result.
The basleine was before any flash was done -- 14.741 sec
General maps from Uprev (before sending them any data)
-- 14.671 sec
Re-tune based on data I sent to Uprev --14.390 sec.

Please clarify, at what speed/rpm were you traveling when you mashed the throttle for each of these runs? Seems that would be the only variable left.

I mashed the throttle at about 2200 RPM but I only looked at data from 2700 to 6000 RPM.

EDIT: NM, looks like you already answered my questions:

For a minute, I thought I might be able to replace my UTEC, then I read this...

If you guys decide to release the EU tuneable version, please let us know. That I'd be interested in. I pray for the day I can tune my Nissan the same way I can tune any OBD2 GM vehicle. I'd also be interested in an unlocked shop version once the EU tuneable is released.

Quick question: can you guys scale for larger injectors. I think you can, so if so, how do you do it (injector pulse width reduction?) and are there any drawbacks? Does it work at startup (like when cranking)?

(anyone that knows the answer, feel free to clue me in - thanks)

Hey everyone, I paid a visit to the UpRev guys today since I was in the area... I met Jared and Chung there and was really impressed by the professional yet extremely friendly way they run the biz.

I was around with a co-worker while Jared ran a tune on a Z and the results at the dyno were amazing after the reflash. I do not feel at the liberty of commenting on this particular car, but I was amazed by the result.

Anyway, I picked up the Osiris from them and when I get back home on the weekend I will collect some data for UpRev to determine if my car is compatible with the reflash process (my car is not USDM)... can't wait!!!!

Again, great to deal with the UpRev guys, highly recommended!

Carlos Ch.
