Default Scaling Big injectors with UTEC

I installed my 650 cc injectors today and I cant seem to get them scaled, I have a 11.5 afr at Idle and it runs kinda crappy.

On my open loop fueling parameters the Injector scaling column isnt there anymore and the Injector Deadtime parameter is also missing, I am running version 2.8

I am already running -24 in the 0 Load Column, and it doesnt get any better with lower numbers.

Any insight?

are you running a return fuel system w/ pressure regulator?

To get the best idle, I would recommend a return fuel system, and about 40-45psi or less of base fuel pressure (vaccum line disconnected from FPR).

oh yeah last question, should this affect how much fuel will be delivered at full boost, i seem to be running a bit leaner even after I compensated on the fuel map for the fuel pressure drop.

Are you adjusting the 0% load column?

yeah i got it to -24 right now, everything works fine when the AC is on bc it brings the RPM up. Its back at 14.7 afr, looks like i will have to get the idle raised up, thanks for the info though

As the boost increases, so will the fuel pressure. I'd do some dyno runs or data logging to make sure everything is safe up top though.

So it is normal for there to be no injector scaling option in open loop fueling? Version 2.8d

Mine is missing as well.

Yep - that option is no longer used - you adjust via the 0% load column. (And oops sorry Blackbird didn't see you were already adjusting that column as appropriate)

I have -17 in the 0% load column with 650cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, no return system and at idle AFR is ~14.8-15.2

Reviving an old thread (I searched):

I just also swapped my APS injectors (380cc??) to RC 650cc. I had all zeros in the 0% column before and it was running just fine. I tried adjusting it to -20, -30 and all the way to -60. It is now running a lot better (idling ~14.7), but it seems to smoke a lot. Can that be because of too much fuel? How low should I adjust it and how low is "too low" in the 0% column? I know all cars are different, I'm just trying to get a feel for what it should be set to. I'm using the stock fuel system and APS fuel pump/regulator.

Thanks!

Hmm...-60 is crazy. I have -21 with RC 650's and a Walbro pump. It throws smoke at the start, but then is fine.

Either you are having an issue with an injector (dumping more fuel than it should), or your fuel pressure is too high.

I spoke with Madelinot, he accidentaly hit his UTEC Map Selector switch and he was tuning MAP 1 but the switch was on Map 2.

LOL
