Question 03 rpm signal wire?

did my serching guys, theres 1 write up for a raptor, but i cant open it for some reason, i know we had individual coils, so did my spec v, what wire is the RPM signal wire on the back of the gauge cluster please thank you

Is the '03's wire in a different place than the '04 to current? I'll assume that its not in the same place attached to the AC amplifier module.

I believe the gauges are controlled by CAN signals, so there would be no wire back there to tap...

This guy isn't very nice, lol. It should be a pink wire behind the A/C Control, can't remember the pin out, but I am pretty sure the pink wire is the VSS.

ok thank you, i apologize about the tude... ive just had some problems on the fourm (not with you guys) and i just wanted a straight answer... after reading over what i wrote your exactlly right, i will watch my E-tone lol

since this is a CAN based ECU system, we don't have a traditional single wire output for RPM signal. the back of the cluster actually accepts all 6 coil inputs via the unified AMP meter to display RPM on the tach.. however most recent shift lights can be adjusted to accept single cylinder operation, if thats the case then you can pull the signal off of the ignition wire signal for cylinder 1 which is off of the ECU harness.

im gonna bump this thread.. does anyone have any pics of where the tach/rpm signal is or the coil? i have an rpm/shift gauge (stewart warner) that i need connected but cant find a way to get an rpm pulse. thanks.
