Default Possible problems running rich?

SO, my Z right now is running very rich at WOT, the problem has been getting worse over time, at WOT right after i got my car back from GTM the A/F was about 12.5-12.7, now, at WOT, only 3 months later, my car is at 9.1. I am trying to figure out what the problem could be, but can not find an issue that would sounds like what is happening to me through the search feature, any idea's from the experts what this might sound like? any help would be much appreciated! Dan

I'd say contact GTM to see if they have any input. They should be able to do a basic sensor check and make sure your tune hasn't deviated.

im not a professional but i dont think i would want to be running at 12.5-12.7:1 a/f anyway if i was sitting with a pair of twins. i know 9:1 is pig rich and not healthy eithew but shouldnt you be some where neer mid to low 11's with F/I. just my two cents..

to try to answer your question i have to ask a couple...like did the a/f slowly drop or did it just fall right to 9:1....do u have a stock fuel pump...have you checked the scaling for any unusual numbers.....does the car get that rich at idle or at partial throttle or only at wide open.....can you feel a major power loss....have you ever free air calibrated your o2 sensor if you can?

you can see were im going with this you need to provide a little more info for others to halp you.

A/F has been slowly dropping about a month after i got the car back. I have the walbro 255 pump. Car only runs rich at WOT. No power loss at WOT, but when i left off the gad i can feel the car jolt off of boost, (hard 2 explain unless u were in the car and felt it) almost like its happy im off the throttle, that being said, i havent been on the car hard in a month. Free air calibrated my o2 sensor, No i have not, nor do i know how.

if the car is runing 9:1 a/f you should notice a decent power loss that is so rich it would be slowing you down a bit,. how long have you had your 02 sensor just this 3 months or were u using it before the that. have you ever run anything but premium unleaded gas ie: race fuel, nitrous, or any chem injection? its possible your o2 sensor is shot or needs to be calibrated...thatwould be an easy fix.

obviously there is a lot of questions to be answered i will do my best o give advice but from the other side of the counrty its hard to diagnose your problem with so many possibilities out there. have you contacted gtm

do you know how and have the ability to browse your utec with lap top, can you datalog? is your o2 sensor playing with the utec for data logging if so post up a log or two doing part throttle and full throttle runs.

still to many things that dont make sense to m, how many pounds of boost are you running?

I appreciate your interest in my problem!!! as everyone on this forum.

The 02 sensor i have had for as long as the turbo kit has been on the car I.E. almost 2 years now.

Nothing but 91 has been run in the car.

I do not have the ability 2 browse the utec, but i need to find someone who can and check the issue u have brought up!

Thank you for your input tho Chefrey, i will try and get the problem resolved ASAP, and let everyone know what the problem is, Im hoping 4 a faulty O2 sensor, bc that sounds like an easy fix!!!haha
