Default FCON V-pro problems? Fail to start!

My car fails to start sometimes. Tuner says it's related to integration issues between the FCON and the ECU security of the car. He also says it's a common problem.

No crank nor anything, just total silence when I try to start it. The frequency of this problem increases in hot weather!!

Does anyone have the same problem? What are the solutions?

Thanks

p.s. Tried searching and nothing showed up

I've never seen anyone post an issue like this with the Vpro on this forum. As far as i'm aware it's had a pretty good record.

Maybe your tuner isn't telling you the whole truth?

This is possible... I stopped driving my car fearing that it may not start whenever I want. This is getting really annoying!

BTW.. I checked the wiring and all was fine!

Started to miss the days of the SS Box :s

If it were a security issue your starter would still turn -- you would just have no spark. If you're hearing nothing it's either your clutch switch, ignition switch, or something similar. Check your battery terminals for corrosion as well. Have you had any aftermarket wiring done that could be causing issues like remote start, starter kill, ect?

well, this actually makes sense. Clutch switch could very be the the cause. I will have to check that among the other things mentioned. And I dont have after market wiring except for the FCON and the fuel pump.

Thanks

Just disconnect the clutch switch and put a jumper wire across the pins, if the problem goes away you may just need a new switch.
