Sorry to say- with all the R&D Nissan put into the VQ35DE, cam timing has likely been modeled multiple times to get the most output out of the cam profile. Nissan engineers also used computer modeling to develop and validate their work. This is not something any DIYer has on hand. Finally, the VQ racing efforts that I'm aware of never pursued cam timing on a stock cam. They developed different cam profiles for mid-to-high end power.

Thanks a lot, that makes sense, but IIRC I saw somewhere, someone made nice results with playing cam timing

You should talk to them ...

but what DK said ... unless you made changes to the cams than there is no need to mess with the cam timing. Set it back to OEM and enjoy the car.

It is funny how people think nissan (in it's OEM form) left power on the table ... if they only wanted 287hp/300hp/306hp out of an engine that could have put out 15% more power they'd have made the engine 15% smaller ... we'd all be driving 320z...

Well my car runs better than USDM RevUps and I see more aggressive Cam Timing values in my ROM compared with USDM, I am just trying to get more knowledge about this whole thing thank you
