Considering the power of the M3, it should've been able to pull ahead from the start just like the Z did. Also, when you consider who was driving the M3 and its power, it should've been able to close the gap even sooner.
As for a longer race, that doesn't matter either because it is all on equal grounds. All the cars had the same amount of time to run. The onyl difference would be if there were only two cars on the track: the Z and the M3.
Yeah, the margin of victory would've been greater for the M3 as expected but I think many of us are still disappointed that the M3 didn't smoke the Z entirely considering the hp it has.
So once again, BARELY winning FTL.

I wasn't too suprised with this result, since tsukuba is a track that usually rewards the lighter, more nimble cars. The Z could accelerate throughout large portions of the 3 hairpins, where the IS-F and the M3 both had to feather the throttle until the exit, slowing them down big time in the corners.
Anyways, obviously i am proud to see this result being a Z owner myself, but i wouldn't base my opinions on the M3's track performance based on this battle. Put the M3 vs. these cars on any other track (suzuka, nurburgring, etc.) and i'm sure the M3 would destroy any of these cars.

the one in the video is a 313hp nismo z......or the 306hp over here.....its not the 380 or the 380 competition one....
watch other part, i think part 3, when the z description comes up.....look and see it says 313....
im pretty sure the one in the video is the standard nismo z. Still very happy with outcome though. Nismo z owners, BE PROUD!

this vid looks accurate to me noones understanding tire conditions and around a road course as this....power isnt everything keep in mind the nsx out handles cars with 3times its power. The nismo Z is a track car basically you should be more concerned with conditions and overally driving techniques clearly thats what the decideding factory is .
One thing is for certain there both driving the sht out of those cars...and for those that dont think the nismo Z stood a chance take a look at the in turn behavior clearly the m3s rear isnt as stable and the turn in on the Z seems more stable and more capable ...to me the nismo Z is more the track car and better prepped for this battle bar none. Thus its handleing makes up for alot of the power difference thats why it was pronunced but only in the striaghts where the m3 has the advantage.
