The complete control of the valves in the 3.7 is awesome technology, if an ecu gets made for it, electronic cam changes are a tune away.
How about a 4.5 l stroker engine and stage 1-3 cams for the VQ35HR and the VQ37VHR
p.s. cams for VQ35HR ONLY OBVIOULSY

next month.

I wonder if the M35 and FX35 will change to M37 and FX37? I know the fwd cars will keep the VQ35 to keep the changes bigger but the G37 may only be a coupe and the FX and M will get upgrade to the 35HR motor? But yeah I would be more interested in what parts of the 3.7 will work. Maybe the pistons and rods?

Well as long as the aftermarket provides a turbo (or two) in the future, I will be happy.
As for now I got to get the break in done and some furniture sold so I can come visit Sharif for the Greddy TT exhaust

Keep up the good work guy's

Cheers

End of the year for the big guys, and one other smaller shop is working on a TT kit. So I would say 6 months or less.

you cant even really put a number. It would be horrid speculation. Theres nothing to say it would be any better then the DE as far as making power at the same psi at this time. We all just have to wait and see. Remember this engine was even more tuned NA then anything with reguards to its compression composition.

Ya, your right, I don't want to jinx it. I just can't wait for the few who take the plundge and post up some #'s. I am still breaking mine in so it will be a little while before i will be looking in to this, just getting excited and jumping the gun as usual.

Cheers

with dual intakes and the way the plenum is it should be able to intake alot more then the DE. But well see though we see the strengths of this motor we really dont know the weaknesses. Its just really annoying that its a one off motor. And wont share the life time like the reg DE. I think its expectancy is going to be the same as the revup. Because seriously if your impressed with this engine the 3.7 is really the finished product. Hopefully this engine does handle 450 rwhp as stable as the DE at 350 rwhp.

Qell we really dont know what nissans plans with this motor is. This motor could see life in the M35 and FX35 for a long time while Sedan for lest say 09 becomes G37 sedan(with a few updates mabye like a new tailight or something) to join the upcoming G37 coupe.

i highley doubt there going to make the G37 out perform the Z. For long its not good marketing.
there not releasing the 3.8HR over here (which they should as a limted edition) and the 3.7 with VVL makes hella more power efficiently and is just that much of a better engine. I just cant see them prolonging the 3.5HR at its current power levels when there are increases in power all through the range of competive cars even in its own familiy. The skyline is probably going to me a modified 3.7HRTT and the G and Z will have a NA version. If they wanted to make the Z even more iconic they should relased a anniversary edition with the 3.8RS that would be amazing.

I talked with Mike at thepowdercoater.com and he said that he should have the parts done by the end of the week and we can start putting the motor back together. The car should be back to Sharif's the last week of June to put the motor back in. Body work is done and the paint/airbrush went on this past weekend. It is going to the stereo shop this week.

Damn man I just realized you still don't got your wheels back yet. Major props to you for letting Forged dissect your engine. Without this thread I would have no excitement for the future of aftermarket parts for the engine.

Can't wait to see what she looks like now!

I have been keeping it on the down low. The car will be complete in a few weeks.
