this engine is setup just like the vk45de everything from cam sensors, cooling, even the fuel rails the only difference is that after the fuel travels across the other side it has a return line

Causual inspection of the rods (we havent disassembled the rotating assembly...yet) indicates they look very similar to last year's rods. We can only hope they are stronger. The piston tops and sides are not visible for now.
But holy mother.....the block and integrated mains/girdle are MUCH stronger and more ridge. It makes the VQ35DE look like its missing some parts or something.

I just was wondering what is your take on the situation and if you had any insight on major problems and/or upgrades and fixes to the situation.

Internal slave cylinder, with direct actuation of the TO bearing...very nice!

Forgive me for not reading the entire thread, but I have one question after reading the first post. You said he made 265whp and that was a 17hp gain? I am just slightly confused because my stock 07 was dynoed on friday and made 266.9whp on what most have said is a very tough dyno to make good numbers on.

Unfortunately, dyno comparisons are fraught with error, so we dont even try it. We did the before dyno, and the after dyno...and that is the gain we posted.
