Took me about an hour and a half to install mine today. But I have to admit I'm **** and repositioned all the hose clamps about twice each!!

This is my 1st Z (thus my 1st intake install on a Z), and it took me about thirty minutes to finally wrestle the stock driverside intake snorkle out of the engine bay!! Here's a hint for other 1st timers.... Pull it through the hole into the engine compartment. Eventually with enough leverage it will bend and pop through.

Sounds really nice, but now I need an exhaust because all I hear is intake!!!

Intake modifications on the HR should be stamped with uncle bens ricer seal of approval.

San Antonio guys. Let me know when you are going to dyno. I need to go again after some disappointing results in 95 degree/ high humidity conditions. Just want to see what other Zs with similiar mods are doing. I can get us a discount rate if at least 5 of us go.

what i would have done is before and afters on the dyno...this way you still see what the gains were even with the bad weather.

Hmmm I thought I posted this last night:

Anyway, I installed mine last night. Took a bit of time because I dropped and had to fish out a 10mm bolt from under the engine block - NOT FUN.

Some Notes:
  • The crankcase tubing *is* a *****. The type of angle you need to bend the tubing at pretty much cuts the total circumference of the tubing in half --- I have no idea if this is okay or not, but the angle is awful. This is probably the only negative side of the actual design of the intake.
  • The stock air vents are a PAIN to remove. I damn near gave up and was about to remove my front bumper before I got the angle right and put a little muscle into it.
  • It seems like I gained a LOT of torque and low-end with the intake. Take off from a stop is noticeably faster. I'll be interested to see what my new 0-60 timing is.
  • Very minimal gains in the mid-range from 3.5-5.5k rpm
  • A noticeable increase in throttle response in the higher RPM range.
  • The sound is amazing. The stock exaust note is a little deeper and slightly throaty. The engine is louder and deeper all around, but not raspy. Its a very nice note.
  • The NOS energy drink that CarDomain included in the box tasted absolutely awful.

I will post plenty of high-res images and close ups later today, as well as a movie with some decent sound.

You should post this question as a new thread in this sub forum.... This thread is pretty much relegated to 07 owners (for the most part anyway), you will get more views outside this thread... Then come back with the results of the dyno pulls...
