Just go to Autozone or Oriely's and tell them you want a K&N air filter for an 07 350Z. Do you have an exhaust system?...if you don't, get one and then do the before and after dyno runs, so you can say your money was well spent.

yup, just go to the dealer and get OEM replacement filters if yours are dirty.

not in NJ... heres a lil about me: was here in early 04.. came friends with the mrc guys had a bunch of stuff done.. but got out of the 350 scene before they even had reflashes n stuff and turbos just started gettin out there.

Well i just picked up an 07 and realize that the motor is different and stuff..
so i am going with a drop in and the x02 exhaust.

Since my z I have had 11 cars - supras, z06s, s4s,m3s, benzs, and on and on. Honestly thought the 350z was 1 of the most fun cars i ever had.. so i picked an 07 up.

I am going to dyno with drop in and x02 exhaust and see results. Then will probably add test pipe, headers, and pullies and dyno again.

I will be going to CT to have it dynoed.. over on corvetteforum i have like 5000 posts and had 3 vettes since my 350z... ICS up in ct are a bunch of friends(shop cars consist of a 1000hp killerbee M3, some fast corvettes, rx7s, etc.. i prolly can get a dyno day for us iff people are interested. 3 pulls maybe $100 bux or something close? if that sounds good post up.. i will contact brian see what we can do.

Regards,
Mike

Man out here in California you would be lucky to get three pulls for $100. The cheapest I have seen is $135 and up to $150. Unless the shop is offering some sort of special for the week. I guess everything really is more expensive out here. I need to move.

older intakes don't work with the HR motor, but are all the k&n drop ins the same? or did they make an 03-05, 06-07?

The 07 K&N does not have any drop in filters yet for. But one is a close fit but no shops locally had it. See this thread....

Halving the airflow per filter usually reduces the resistance by 4 assumming the same aera.

A good exercise is to iron flat an oem filter vs K&N to see the oem has 3x the flat square area......depth and number of pleats.

Makes you wonder how they can sell this gimmic with a straight face.
