I have to order a set of the Tomei Cams for our VQ35HR build which should be done in a few weeks. This is a complete HR build from the ground up for our Redline Time Attack car. I will try and remember to come back here and update everyone about the cams.

Exactly what is the goal for this build
A fully built HR with custom intake manifold and twin turbo's to do what?! To drive around with a Wrap to promote your company Something here just doesn't add up or look right.... Is this going to be for drifting? Track?
What drivetrain upgrades do you plan to make to support this kind of build?
Axles?
Diff?
Which clutch?
Add some Bing! Where's all the ARC goodies?! At least install their diff cooler lol
Good luck man! You obviously have no set budget More power to you. I would have just bought the GTR and modded that platform.

It's a Time Attack car being built. While a GTR is certainly more than capable (as are several other platforms), it brings it's own level of complexity to the mix. In this case, I know the owners of the car looked to build what they had already, and with the people involved, it should turn out quite well.

Honestly guys, I have purchased so much stuff from Adam and he is been a pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing from Z1. If I can't get something from S&R Performance in Tampa, the only place I will ever go next is Z1.
If you all really want the list, here it is.
This is for the Redline Time Attack Series and NASA TT's. It is an 2008 NISMO 350Z and sponsored by S&R Performance and Greddy. It is also an "event" car for the company to take to things like MLG (Major League Gaming). Yes, there really hasn't been a budget however, without the sponsors, I am not sure this would have happened to the degree we have taken it. They have put a lot of faith in the car, and my capabilities on the track. The premise behind this was also that it's a NISMO on the track, not just any 350Z.
The GTR is capable and is an option for our 2nd car. I asked Sharif how much body roll he gets from the GTR on the track and his response was "None, it is that best handling car I have ever driven". So, in a nut shell, we are highly concidering the GTR as our next car because of all the input about the car from Sharif, the fact that is is AWD (completely differenct animal), and the power output it's capable of. I also would love to race both since they are so different.
Here is a list of everything on the car or waiting to be installed on the car. The only things in this list that we don't physically have are the rods, pistons, crank and Tomei CAMS (which we are still undecided if we really even need the cams). The pistons, rods and crank were supposed to ship last week but we have not verified if it has. That is all we are waiting on to start assembling it.

Just an update.
The Tomei 280 cams arrived Thursday. They are being cryo'd then installed. The motor should be done, in and tuned by the 19th.
I will let you all know how the cams did on the HR motor.

To put this much $$$$$ and HP into this platform will most likely be a fail... At least with the GTR you have AWD to better transfer the power to the wheels. This car will be a death trap. But hey thats my opinion.
I wish someone here would do a full NA HR build. Cams, pistons(increased compression) porting, possible stroker, etc etc etc. Those Dyno #'s would draw my interest.

If I wanted to be the size of a small bus and have a weight of nearly 5k lbs, I would have gone with the GTR. Also, do you think I would have spent less or more getting the same amount of power out of the GTR?
Oh and FYI, the dealership I found this Nismo at had one on the floor and I concidered but found the NISMO edition to be way more realistic for 60k less. I would have chosen a Z06 over the GTR as well and while we are even humoring the idea, for nearly the same money as he GTR I could have purchase the Porsche GT3 RS which makes the GTR look like a ford focus on the track. Even articles comparing the Nismo to the GTR state "if the Nismo had more power it would dominate the GTR on the track".
Sorry if it sounds like it's a sore topic but when you are spending 100k on a car, there are much better options than the GTR. just my opinion.

I don't buy that. The GT3 RS comes through the slalom at 76 or 77mph compared to the GTR's 72. The GT3 pulls 1.01G's on the skid pad where the GTR does .99. That's a big difference that should be seen on the track. Bad driving by the porsche driver?
