Default The Drive by Wire issue

I don't understand what the issue people have with it is. I have done a search (or tried to anyways but the search kept dissecting my search and pulling up everything I wasn't trying to search hehe) So if someone could explain to me what the issue with DrivebyWire is and why people ask for it to be turned off that would be great.

i believe some ppl have issues w/ drive by wire is because of a very slight delayed throttled response. and i don't think you can 'turn off' drive by wire. the alternative is by using a throttle cable.

dude, the delay is the only issue...no matter what car you're driving.
You can't "turn off" the drive by wire, it's you're effing throttle....

Turning off your car turns off drive by wire.

From the factory there is a delay and a throttle limiting program built in to the drive by wire system. Through tuning you can eliminate the throttle limiting. We're currently testing a device that simply plugs into the pedal assembly and eliminates the throttle lag completely, it gives you 100% throttle at any RPM or speed. Makes the car a little bit more cumbersome to drive starting out in first gear because the throttle reacts faster but aside from that it seems to work great. They are going to retail for around $300.

I swear some people on here waste everyone's time including their own by posting..like this guy. I never said I didn't understand what Drive by Wire was and if I did I apologize. My question is what peoples problem was with it and I never asked if "I" could turn it off. I simply have seen people post on the tuning area asking "Can it turn off the drive by wire issue." I actually thought that little delay was just a drivetrain type delay..thought maybe it just took a split second for everything to get moving. I saw a video where they used a lighter flywheel and holy crap it made a difference in rev speed(in neutral) anyways thank you to Brian@Z1 who actually explained what the deal is with it. I also read that when the guys at UpRev checked the HR out it didn't have that problem and had 100% throttle capabilities from the factory. Is this true or is this something else ?
