Default Please Help!!! TECH Help

I changed my air filters to my Injen dual intakes and had problems putting in the passenger side filtration due to the Factory oil cooler so some of the fins got bent. After the filter install I started drving and hesitated in the begining of the first three gears. I stared diving normal and noticed the Oil pressure gauge going all they way up to 120 psi I need to know what the normal operating pressure is. I chaecked the hoses going to and from the oil cooler and no pinches what so ever.

It could be your sendint unit. You can check it by putting the key foward,it should read zero.If it marks anything above zero it's your sending unit.

Cold Start 120 psi
Cruising 60 psi
Idle 30 psi

Hpoe this helps..........

Ok I already put the key foward and stayed at zero turned it on cold went up to 120 started warming up and went all the way to about 40psi at idle. I would rev it a bit to about 3K and I would leave the RPM @ 3K and goes past 120psi.

The filters have nothing to do with oil pressure.

Bending a couple fins wouldn't cause oil pressure to skyrocket. I dunno what it is in an HR but my rev-up is cut off at 90. Are you sure that the fins(of the oil cooler I am assuming) were all you damaged?

I meant the oil cooler in front of the radiator. A Nissan tech already said he wanted to replace the sending unit to see if that's gonna be the problem. And not all the oil cooler's fins are damaged it's only the top right corner fins.

i dont think we have a stock oil cooler with fins, we do have a power steering fluid cooler which is in front of the radiator on the passenger side, and u can bend fins back. u prob installed the intake wrong if its hesitating, check the couplers on the TB

Did they replace the sending unit? Is the car still under warranty? I would push this issue and get it resolved before the warranty ends!

Also a good tuner maybe able to resolve the issue!!! See if there is an UPREV dealer in you area! They notice the issue right away.

No the sending unit was not replaced and he car is still under warranty with only 11,000 miles on it. The closest UPrev dealer is 6-7 hours away in Austin TX. which I've been there like last year and have done a couple of more mods after the tune. So maybe I do need to take another trip back to Austin for a retune.
