Default Cobb post maf hoses.

Anyone gone this route with their HRs? I currently have the NISMO intakes but I am considering putting the stock boxes in and just getting these. Any thoughts on the matter?

I think it'd be more for aesthetics than anything. For $125, I'd rather spend it elsewhere, but that's just my opinion.

Well, from what I've read on here, the crinkled hoses are horrible. So this would be an upgrade over stock.

They are cool but not worth the money IMO.

Just save up for long tube intakes.

Very nice. I think I am just going to do it. Besides, they will look nice with my Blue SAMCO hoses that arrive tomorrow!

Those are only 3 ply and unknown, so who knows what quality. The COBB hoses are 4 ply and everyone knows they make good stuff. There might be no difference in quality but don't want to chance it.

I recently talked to Cobb directly about these. They realized that the stock intake system on the HR already flows pretty well. I think a lot of members forget that we have two throttle bodies, meaning that air flow is already going to be great from the factory. So Cobb decided to replace the worst part of the factory intake system - the corrugated tubes - and call it a day. These paired with the K&N filters will yield results just as good as any intake system out there.

I have the HPS ones from corsport and I haven't had a problem with them. They fit great and improved the sound a bit. As for power I couldn't tell u. I don't think they did much as they are the same size as the stock tubes and only got rid of the "ribs" and eliminated a silencer. I'm about to buy the stillen long tubes so we'll see what kind of power I make with them. I say go with the HPS hoses. They're cheaper and the quality seems good.
