Those rims look horrible regardless of the color of the car

I personally don't mind 20's since I have them myself but I think the style on that doesn't go with the sporty look of the Z. Just not my cup of tea but to each his own.

The liberals in Frisco won't even accept it.

I can understand if you like the look of it, although I disagree there. But chrome wheels are heavy. That's unsprung weight, which is especially bad. And the greater weight and size (more weight near the edges) coupled with rotational velocity multiplies the faster you drive. So you'd just be flushing the whole sports car aspect down the toilet.

Does that thing have air bags or some type of lowering suspension on it? It looks tight to def but can you really drive that car like a sports car without rubbing?

yeah, those wheels are pretty godawful in that pic.....I'd expect to see them on a '79 Caprice but not on a Z

IMO, looks like something you would see on "Pimp my ride."

those are doo doo.

but on a side note, why does everyone say that chrome wheels are heavy. that is not a true statement. although a chrome wheel would never touch the hubs of one of my cars, they are no heavier than painted or powdercoated wheels. chrome is an electroplating, and only a few mils thick. it is probably not a coincidence that the chrome wheels come in ridiculous styles, which look (and probably are) heavier. they typically look like snowflakes. it is the style, and not the plating that make them heavier.

Maybe on a 300C, not a sports car.

It's like putting lightweight racing wheels with R-compound tires on an Escalade. It's just pointless. Get the right car if you want to follow the DUB trend.

Check out the new Volks and Maya. They are stylish more than sporty and we won't tease you.
