I need to check the camber specs. Before upgrading my wheels and tires, I was running the enthusiast stock setup - 225/50x17 FR and 235/50 x17 RR. Now I'm running 255/40x18 FR and 275/40x18 RR on 18x9.5 wheels FR and RR. I hope a camber adjustment can fix the look. Having the 255s up front sure makes the car handle better! And the 275s in the rear help a lot as well. Now I need to install my Hotchkis sway bars, but wanted to see what the difference in handling was going to be by just switching to the larger wheels and tires. I guess I'll need an alignment anyways niow that I have switched to the larger wheels and tires.

 

Strange, mine does by 1/8 to maybe 3/16" Maybe a camber adjustment will fix this issue. Now I'm running on stock suspension. I have a set of RS*R Ti2000 springs, which I believe lower the car by only 5/8". I have not installed these yet.

 

MORE - My cross camber specs are +.2 based on the alignment when I had the 225/50x17 up front. Left is -.8 and the right is -1.1. Will going to -1.3 help?

 

dude that wants the WORK xd9's... that's what I have.. look at the last Z with pics.. matte bronze xd9 on black HR-Z..

18x10 in rear (3" lip) +18 offset

 

So hopefully a front camber adjustment will fix this issue.

 

Did you check it with the suspension extended or compressed?

 

I need to have the actual camber checked. I was going according to the paper work I have from the last alignment when I was running the smaller 2004 stock enthusiast 17 inch wheels and tires.

I have 18x8 +30 fronts and 18x9.5 +26 rears
I've got 245/45/18 tires for the fronts at the moment but have no idea what to go for the rear. There is a set of 275/40/18 and 275/35/18 on sale locally but how would that look? Thanks guys

 

Those fronts are really too tall...ideal for stock diam would be 245/40 (225/45 is stock size).
You will need 275/40 which will match the same front diam. Stock stagger (difference front rear) is almost 3% LARGER diam rear, but you'll be ok even with VDC present. BTW, 275/35 would make rears SMALLER in diam than front. If you had VDC, it would trip the VDC system alert constanly with those smaller rear tires.

Old setup. Kinda. I sold the p45r's, put my other 2 grids on. But now the grids are my drift spares and I got some Weds for the street, so I'm super stoked to see how those fit compared to these. The grids poke in the back. Looks pretty rad. I'm planning on snapping some pics soon.

Unfortunately only have instagram pics at the moment, but I'll definitely be taking ones with a better camera soon. Being an idiot and rushing to get to Discount to get tires mounted before they closed, I was using a jack that only had half of the handle and as I was lowering it the jack slipped and went right onto the oil pan. Taking the pan off today and banging it back out so I can drive the damn thing again. But anyway here are some instagram pics.

ok I searched and broswed but found limited info .I want to pick up a set of rota p45r for now because I have a donut on my car right now. And then plan on trying to find a set of lmgt4s

My question is I was going to get 18x9.5 +20 and 18x10.5+20 rears with a 255/40r18 front 275/40r18 rear now with these these rims on a car they fit nice but when looking at a set of lmgt4 they had an offset of +12 front + 15 rears and I thought they looked like they had a deeper concave. Maybe it's just. Manufacture thing.

If I get a different offset will it affect what size tire I run I don't want them to cone out past the fenders any input would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

I'm running 18x9.5 -4 all the way around with 235/40R18's. On a lowered Z with no problems. There are some calculators you can find on the Internets that will give you a general idea about the fitment.
