Mr. Sparco, it looks like those tires run kind of wide for 255s. What brand are they?

Fronts are Nitto NT555R and rears are General UHP, I got tired of replacing the rear 285/35 DRs after 6 months of daily usage.

Duckee you went down to 18s? I had though you had 19s.

Here is a pic of my new wheels and tires in action. The gap in the rear doesn't look quite as big when I've got it floored

Default Need help with tire size for 18x10 wheels

So I just got some 18x8.5 and 18x10 wheels. Boths 20 offset.

I know what tire to run on the front but I'm not sure what do run on the rear for the 10 inch width.

The wheel will be pretty much flush in the rear so I'm guessing I'll need a small stretch? Or will I be able to have the tires almost straight with the wheel? I'm not lowered now but I will be lowering on Tein S tech probably within a couple months.

I've searched the size but I see people running anything from 225 to 315 on 10 inch wheels.

What would you guys recommend?

Also, I'd like to use my new Toyo proxes4 on the front. Would it be ok to get different tires for the rear or should I sell the toyos and buy 4 of the same? This is the base model so there's not traction control or anything.

I would stay on or under 305 on a 10"
Most common 275
Pick what you want.... stretch/flush/stagger/square

Not only is your question easily found by searching this thread but you could have also referred to the Top 100 FAQ:

https://my350z.com/forum/2487452-post8.html

Q: What wheel sizes and offsets do I need?
A: Generally speaking, there are a LOT of different combinations that people are running on their Z or G.

Let's get the basics out of the way first: You need a lug pattern of 5x114.3, width between 8 and 11 inches, and diameter of 17", 18", 19", or 20".

Here are some of the more popular wheel and tire sizes (for good reason) that people put on their Z's. There is no "RIGHT" answer but there is a limit to how big or small you can go.

Front 18" x 9.5" , Offset +25 to +30, Tires 255/40/18
Rear 18" x 10.5" , Offset +28 to +35, Tires 285/40/18 or 295/35/18
(lower offset such as +23 in the rear is possible but may require rolling)

Within this thread that I have merged your thread into you will also find plenty of examples of 18" wheels that you can reference. For specific sizing information I would also refer you to our Top 100 FAQ
