That will fit fine, but you still need a shorter tire like a 275/35-18

I have 275/40 on 18X11 with +28 offset with NO SPACERS. Lowered 1.5"..no rubbing at all.

That offset should work with NO SPACERS. BTW, you can measure from lip to lip as long as you deduct 1/2 of the FULL 11" (center location). That is actually the best way to measure offset.

I use an 18x11 up front with a 315. Where there is a will, there is a way.

Default help with tire size please, thanks...

have an 03 Z touring edition with stock 18" wheels. I am replacing the tires and want to know what size tires will fit, without any issues. The car is pure stock, no coil overs, not lowered. I would like a little more meat under the fenders but want to use the stock wheels. What is the widest tire sizes front and back on the stock 18" wheels. thanks

The stock rear tires are already 245/45, can't I go wider?

As usual, terrasmak nails it. This is the setup I run, and I really like the handling. If you mount these tires (245/40-18 front and 245/45-18 rear) you will not have the under-steer you experience with the stock setup (225/45-18 front and 245/45-18 rear).

CAUTION: Neutral-steer does require paying more attention and skill when pushing your Z…. so be careful.

You have an 8" wheel, so 255 is about as wide as you should go. Good luck finding that width with the correct aspect ratio for your car.

If you want to go wider on your rear tire, you should get wider wheels. If you mount a slightly wider wheel than stock, you can go 275/40-18" in the rear, which is a nice size tfor the Z. --Spike

So. I have a squared setup of 18x9.5 RPF1s +23(i think) with 10mm spacer front and 15mm in the rear. What is overall the best size tires you guys think i should get? I might go to actual track this summer to learn.

Semi Racing tires are welcome too. (Been thinking about R888s) Any problems with 265/35/18 all around? (Will VDC go crazy?)

I've looked around for an answer to a question similar to mine, but I didn't see anything, so sorry if I'm repeating something already brought up. Anyhow, my question is how would a stock-height 2003 Z fair with this tire set up on a set of wheels of the following square measurements:

18 x 9.5 all around, with a +20 offset, going with 255/40-18 in the front, and 275/40-18 in the back.

If this was already answered, I'm sorry, as I must've over looked it.

Default Got new tires/ different sizes..

I have an 03 touring 6 speed coupe. Stock tires were 245/45-18 rear, 225/45-18 front. I had these sizes put on. Firehawks, 255/45-18 rear, 245/45-18 front. The car rides great! the tires fill the fender wells much better and the car seems to handle just fine. No issues with the traction controls and the new tires ride much, much better than the old ones. I used my after market navagation to check the speedo and at 60 mph according to the navagation, the speedo read 61 mph. So my speedo is off 1 mph at 60mph and that is fine with me. Otherwise, I like the set up and the car looks and rides better with the extra "meat" under the fender wells!

Default 225/45 on oem 8-1/2

Can someone tell me if 225/45 would be too much of a stretch on the oem 8-1/2" rims? I searched but didn't find what I was looking for.
I'm not trying to stretch them, its for the fronts.

225/45s are DOT approved for 8.5" widths. This is the widest in the range and will work just fine. I had 245s on 9.5..also the widest approved width for those and they performed perfectly.
