Powder Coating stock rims( black)? Think it would look bad, just a thought....

 

Personally, I've never liked the look... From a distance it looks like you have spare tires on...

But if it floats your boat, go for it

 

well im looking into some rims in the marketplace and ijust noticed a guy powdercoating for 50bucks a rim, just wondered if it had been done and if it looked any good, im probably not going to go that route....

 

There are plenty of photos in this forum of OEM wheels that are painted. If you like the look do it.

Wasn't that the same paint that they use on the B2 Bomber - its invisible to radar!

 

I thikn you're on to something, they should make all teens Z's with RAM on the outside. It would keep everyone's insurance down

 

stock rims have no lip so i dont think powdercoating it will look good at all, the cool thing about aftermarket powdercoated wheels is the fact that all you see is a chrome or titanium circle that seperates rim from tire, if you powdercoat stock it will look like spare black tires (ugly)
