Default HRE&iForged Clearcoater

Does anyone know the company and the phone# that does the clearcoating for iforged and HRE? I want to find out if my iforged wheels are even there as Vince says they are.
Thanks,
Matt

iforged and hre are clear coated at the same place? why is it I would expect HRE to be doing their own clear coat.

I'm guessing they are not "clearcoat" paint, but rather a clear anodize finish.

We actually do use the same finisher as HRE. They are called Speedway and do most of the finishing work for HRE, Kinesis, and Racing Dynamics as well as other custom wheel manufactures.

I remember a post from another forum from one of the HRE guys that actually stated that most of their clearcoat is done at a place other than the one Iforge uses and that the HRE guys used the same shop before once for an overload of wheels they needed clearcoated but they didnt like the finish and stopped going. I will find the threat at that other forum.

rodH...

Did you receive your iForgeds prior to or after the conversion to the new clearcoat shop? Have you had any problems?

yes, I did have them before the conversion, I have 1 slight problem, apparently the tire shop that installed the center cap pushed it in and it hit the side of the inside part of the wheel, this has caused slight delamination in that area, I already spoke with the painter and he said it is an EASY fix and I can just drive up there to have them fix it, other than that they are great.

I have been told by some that this is why many companies use a plastic center cap, b/c it is more flexble and won't damage any part of the rim.

so I am not sure I would say it is iFOrged fault since the tire shop was careless with that part of the install (they used a rubber mallet to smack it on, I watched), which isn't nec for these wheels.

cool, I know that when they did mine (the old clearcoater) they just swithced over from PPG to a new product, but the problem wasn't so much the product but who applied it.
