Angry You get what you pay for. (failed rotas)

I got these Rotas about a year ago and loved em, they looked good on the car and the price was right. I auto-x and go to the drag strip with em with no problem. Even Subydude's track car uses em. But about a month ago i found out there was a crack on one of the spokes and when i took off the rim i found another crack inside of the rim. I wasnt really surprised or mad since these are Rotas and i cant expect much of it. So i called Rota and Wheeldude to ask for a replacement. But the answer i got back was nothing i expected. I was informed by Rota that they dont make em in my offsets anymore and that the new shipment of Hyperblacks wont match my original Hyperblacks. So i guess im stuck with 3 rotas.

So what ... You can buy four new ones for the price of one volk. So now you are going to pay 3000+ because you would not spend 800? I would buy four new ones and use the others for Drag radials or slicks.

I think Rota's not the best wheels you can buy, but if I said that people would jump all over me and call me a fanboy for Volks, BBS, or HRE's. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Damn, I was planning on getting these Rotas actually. My car isn't going to be on the track or anything, merely just for looks however...

If you get the forged track wheels or 19" G35 rims, they are made by RAYS.

hmm, the way that wheel looks with the scuff on the inside, looks like you tagged something and cracked it there, possibly causing the spoke to crack as well

Rota's are nice, but dayum. I was thinking of getting a pair of 18's as a daily drive and put my 19" SSR's on the side for shows.
