Default spare tire not fitting

I smashed up my wheel and I am trying to put the spare on to get it to the tire shop. The spare off my z and a friends z is not fitting over the brake caliper. Has anyone else had the problem?

Where is it not fitting? Hitting the brake calipers? What is it hitting?

Do you have stock brakes, did you upgrade to OEM brembo's ?

It sounds as though you are trying to fit a stock spare tire/rim on a car with brembo’s.

If you do manage to get that spare on your car, be sure to turn TCS/VDC off if your car has this. The spare is undersized and messes with TCS/VDC.

Is it a front wheel? Did you take off the bolt on the front hub? It prevents you from putting the rear wheels on the front, but I think it may also interfere with the spare wheel.

Do yourself a favor. Remove bolt #6, and toss it in the trash.
