Default 18x10 +38mm okay with 305s?

Like the title says, I really need to get as wide of a tire out back as possible..I really like the RPF1s and the size I found was 18x10 +38 offset in the back and 10x9.5 with a +15 in the front. I have a fender roller so I will roll them as much as I can without ruining the paint.. will it be possible to fit 305s out back?

Most would call that rear offset "weak", but for your intended purpose of slapping 305's on there it makes sense to do that. However, you may be getting close to the inside fender well and suspension components as well with that offset so you have to be careful how much the 305's buldge out that would cause it to rub on the inside.

You can slam the car with those offsets with a rolled lip. I have 10" +35 with -2.0 camber in the rear and 305/35/18 tires. Go as low as you want. I am lowered 2".

You can actually go with an even wider tire in the rear with this setup:

- RPF1 18X10 +38 on all four corners
- Front: 295/30/18 w/ 15mm spacers
- Rear: 315/30/18 w/ 10mm spacers

That is a great setup, I'd love to have something like that in the future!

Well I think I just got a deal on a set of 18x10s +38 and 18x9s +35 if I end up getting them im going to do 305/35/18s on the back and 275/35/18s up front. I wonder how much different it will handle when compared to the 245/225 haha

You will need a 5 or 10mm spacer on the front wheels. Other than that your ofsets and tire sizes are perfect. Are you going to run the Proxes R888?

No, there is plenty of room on the inside with that wheel width and offset. Probably near an inch, but I haven't measured.

BTW, who is "most"? To run wide tires and wide wheels, out of the accepted norm of 275s or 285s, higher offsets are necessary.

You're going to be getting close to the strut with that offset and those tire widths. I was just saying be mindful of this.

Most would be the "Aggressive wheels and stretched tire" folks that practically dominate this site if you haven't noticed. That's why I said it makes sense for the intended purpose.
