Thanks lgear080...

for drag radials Nitto has 305/45/18, this is hella of a tall tire. I think this will look monstrous at 28.80" tall!!!

I feel going using a 30/35 series will be a bit too harsh on the axles and diff. So wanting to do a 40/45 and wide as possible but not looking hideous.

I'm going to look at MT drag radials as well...

I've been waiting a while to post in here, but I think I qualify.

18x9.5 et+15 275/35 tires up front
18x10.5 et+15 295/35 tires out back

I'm posting here because I think my rear tire setup is closer to "fat" than it is "stretched". Currently running 275/35 hankook v12 on 10.5" wide rears, +12 net offset (+22 wheels and 10mm spacer). Lowered to about 1/2" gap from top of tire to bottom to top of wheel arch. I would like to be at +7 net offset (i.e. 15mm spacer) but I'm pretty sure I'll rub at my ride height.

Anyone running that particular setup, and if so what kind of camber angle did you need to have? Trying to decide whether the improved aesthetic is worth the increased tire wear.

Here is a pic for reference:

Im running the exact same set up, on same set of rims. I had to slightly roll my fender lip it rubbed bad on hard bumps and dips. I have not yet got it aligned. I run gf210 springs. Once i rolled my fender it eliminated the rubbing to a minimum.

Fenders are already rolled so I currently have no rubbing at +12 offset, but I'm trying to figure out if +7 offset will cause problems.

I have a set of 15mm spacers, so one way to test it is obviously to put them on and go for a drive. But that's a potentially destructive test if the tire rubs and I'd like to avoid it. Is there a way to compress the rear suspension to check for tire/fender interference using a jack or some such thing? Seems like I would have to remove the spring to do that without lifting the entire car even more.

okay going to keep it simple for my setup; going through the thread this is what I came up with.

*18x10.5 +15 on all corners
*Rear 305/40-18 Front 285/35-18

What you guys think? I'm rolled and pulled max on my G coupe, I only want to run -1 to -1.5 camber max.

With that size I should top out 3rd in the quarter with a 3.33 FD at 148mph at 6000 rpms, top speed mile run 198@ 6500.

Thanks Trav...wont fit? may need to see if someone local has a 305/40 so I can test fit accordingly.

....trying to run the rear as wide as possible and close to 28"tall to maximize speed with FD and tranny. back to the drawing board again...

May want to check the motorsports thread, theres a drag section which Im sure has more information on your type of setup.
