if you spent 'top dollar' for TE37s and dont realize the huge difference in weight and strength between this low pressure cast and forged wheels, you probably bought Volks for the wrong reasons anyway.

Can I rock -12 Rotas in the front and +34 Varrstoens in the back? Vorks FTW!

Seriously, look it is what it is, there will always be ricers who buy this sh|t. Thats just the market. I'm sure the Porsche guys are having the same issues with morons who can barely afford their car payment and rocking BBFs or HRGs or some other fake crap.

Side note, someone should make Vork Stickers, i'm sure that would sell on this forum.

Obviously I realize the differences with being forged and light weight between legit TE37's and the replicas, and that is what makes the TE37's so special. My point exactly how they are getting ruined by the replica guys claiming they are legit ones. If you just buy replica's because you need to save money, that is all good, just don't go around claiming your Varrstoen's are te37's, or worse buy fake volk stickers for your replica wheels. That is all.

Exactly. As soon as a car gets old enough that people can buy it who would never buy it new you will always have an influx of budget owners. The next step for them is to replace the factory wheels which are usually pretty decent with heavier and poorer quality knockoffs.

If people are concerned about price...buy the other budget wheels that are original designs. But nah, you want the Volks/Works/Advans but don't actually want to work for them...so here come the replicas. Justify away and pose on...

Varrstoen doesn't make real wheels? Oh I get it... all the pictures I've seen are from plastic models

I'm just saying everybody seems to be worried that these replicas will devalue your $$$$ purchase of Volks in the eyes of others. You could just stop worrying about what other people think, if you need what a real Volk offers, buy it. I'm the kind of person that would not rock the stickers anyway, I dont want everybody to know what I spent, especially if it's $3-4k. Around here, you get more respect for how well your car looks without trying to be a baller about it. Not to say you'd be mocked for spending 4k, but it's not going to buy instant respect. And quite the opposite if you act like it's supposed to.

I'd say respect around here costs about $10k on top of the car.
You've still gotta spend it right though

He's in Miami? Wouldn't that be 100K (and not a Nissan)? Guess it's all relative.

I can honestly say that the wheels look good for a replica, but thats it!!!!!! A while back before they even came out on this forum, i purchased the 19 9.5+22 and 10.5+22 for my g35 sedan. Yea i was on a budget to. I had the worst experience due to the fact that it was difficult fitting in the tires to the wheels lol. They had a fuked up design. Tires leaked air because they wouldnt seat right on the inside lips of the rim. So i got rid of them and bought some authentic ****. Never again am i buying varrstoen crap or knock offs in that matter. Good luck on those of you who buy them.
Words of encouragement: If you really want a te37 design just save money and buy them used from someone on the forums.

Rays Engineering is based in Japan... for them to file an independent copyright here in the US? well that depends on their legal budget. They are only distrubuted here in the USA through Mackin and if they want to be Rays USA, then they would've had to file for copyright protection on Rays behalf.. Eitherway i dont think legally they can get in trouble UNLESS they are branding them AS Rays/Volk TE37s and with the embossed Rays Logos, etc on the wheel itself. i think there has to be a 10% design change for them to be called a 'different' product.. hard to patent a wheel.. i.e. form follows fuction.. designs are copyright, i think. but i'm not a lawyer.. just an engineer that i play on TV.

there was a big case on replica legality case study my friends looked up in law school. it was the Factory 5 vs Shelby on the cobra replica kit car... that's a good read if you can find it.

well. at least real Volk owners will have the awesome cloth covering that comes with the wheels inside the box that says Rays engineering to hug and weep into as a consolation prize...

The previous information has been obtained either directly from the registrant or a registrar of the domain name other than Network Solutions. Network Solutions
did a net search on Novare Industries, Inc, apparently they also knock off the TE37 offroad.. (they have an SSK wheel brand as well..)
