Thinking of getting rims... 350z rim noob
Hello,
I've had the Z for almost 3 years now and haven't done much to it. I love the thing to death and take it to the track a couple of times a year, and it's my DD. Recently I was thinking of changing the look of it a little, and rims are a great place to start. I'm pretty open to suggestions, I'm really liking a clean black look, nothing crazy, 18 inches.
I'm definitely a noob when it comes to getting new wheels for the Z, what's the best process to go about buying new ones and selling the OEMs? Sell them on ebay? I'm assuming most people do this... rims are a lot of $$ and I'd like to get the most back so the grand total is as small as possible as possible. (or maybe even break even or make a profit!)
Is there anything else that needs to be considered?

You hardly ever get the money you paid on wheels back. You should expect to get 50% percent of the value you back that was paid for both the wheels and tire setup. Keep it oem if you are worrying about optimizing your financial position.
I think this is going down the wrong road... I should've just said I'm looking to get money back for the OEMs and tires (18s) to make the new rims/tires/install not so bad.
My main point was to get info on buying new rims and any specific issues I need to look out for on the Z, and also product suggestions and the best way to go about selling the OEM setup.

Best bet is to check your regional section here on the forums for decent used wheels, that will save you some money and you'll know how they fit and what they look like on a Z. Selling your tires= this forum too, there are usually people looking for an extra set of wheels here, if they don't sell you could then try ebay. If you can't sell them local (i.e. without shipping), then maybe post up both here and on ebay, and make the buyer responsible for shipping costs.

you can post your oem wheels in the regional section for sale on this website. That way you can find a local buyer for your wheels. I would say you will probably get 200.00 to 300.00 for them including tires.
For buying new wheels you want to make sure the OFFSET is correct so that the wheels are not sunk in under the fenders and you look like a ricer. I would say look at other ppl's setups on this site to compare. ppl will usually mention the offsets they are running.
I run a +15 offset on a 20inch 10inch width wheel.

And if you aren't lowered and track your car on occasion, I suggest 18x9.5/10.5+15 black RPF1s.
Good luck!
