Default Recommend tire size please

Yes, I searched, but am more confused as a result. I am taking delivery of my TE37SL's in a couple of days and need to order the rubber. Volks, 18x9.5 ET 22, 18x10 ET 20. Just looking for the optimum tire width, not stretched or bulging. Thanks a million. Thinking about going with the Michelin pilot sport a/s if anyone has feedback on that as well, much appreciated.

Hey J, thanks for the link. I've called around to a few tire places, and they are recommending a 255/40 for the front and a 275/40 for the rear. Does that sound about right?

I'll second the motion for 255/40 F and a 275/40 R. Those sizes will look great (not stretched... not bulged), make the car handle very well, and won't rub with the offsets you ordered on your new wheels.

After you get your new wheel/tire setup mounted, please post some pictures on this thread.

Thanks guys, I'll go with the 255, 275/40's and will definitely post pics when mounted. It will probably be beginning of next week. Thanks again.

Damn, had to throw a fly in the ointment didn't ya The place where I ordered the wheels suggested 245/40's for the front, and 265/35's for the rear. Confusion, see what I mean If I remember correctly when I used the tire calculator, your suggestion(davidv) retained the closest diameter when compared to stock(at least on the rear). Fuggit, I'm just going to get one tire that spans the whole width of the car and pop a hole in the floorboard, yabbadabbadoo...

ha ha. The number of possibilities are endless. I used the NISMO wheel as a reference. Works for Nissan - works for me.

If I had those wheels, I'd rock 265/35 295/35
