Default Adr Wheels Vs Volk Racing

JUST WANTED TO GET THE OPINION FROM FELLOW Z OWNERS ON WHICH RIM WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE ON YOUR Z.

I AM CAUGHT UP IN A DEBATE WITH ANOTHER FELLOW Z OWNER, HIS NAME IS BRIGUYMAX. BRIGUY SAID THAT VOLKS ARE OVERPRICED PIECES OF CRAP. THOSE ARE HIS EXACT WORDS.

HE HAS THE ADR'S AND HE SAYS THEY ARE BY FAR THE BETTER OF THE TWO WHEELS. AND HE ALSO WENT ON TO SAY THAT WHO EVER HAS 19 INCH VOLK WHEELS WERE ALL RICERS.

WELL MY POINT IS, WHICH RIMS WOULD YOU PREFER?

ADR M-SPORT HYPER SILVERS OR THE VOLK RACING SF-WINNING? JUST LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE BETTER OF THE TWO WHEELS. THANKS.

THE PICTURE BELOW IS THE SF-WINNING. THE ADR LOOKS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WAY.

I bought the ADR M-Sports with extra money I upgraded to the best tires I could get. After all thats what meets the road.
Both are great rims. I'm very happy with my ADR's

The ADR M Sports are available in 19's and last time I checked Volks SF Winnings were not in 20's. Just thought I would point that out. I have heard great things about the ADR wheels and for the price you could almost buy two sets compared to one volks.

I got the ADR wheels because they are a better bargain in my opinion. I just could not see spending $2000 on just wheels by going with the Volks. Another down side as I see it with the Volks is if you damage one of them it may take a while to get it replaced where as the ADR wheels are available all over the internet. Just my .02¢.

I would go with Volk. Volk wheels are lighter and stronger, plus their designs are original. ADR just copies other designs from Lowenhart, Mugen and Volk, to name a few. But ADRs are cheap, which is a good thing, and easy to get. Sure, Volk is expensive, but you always get what you pay for.

volks aren't necesarily stronger ... i have 19" adr m-sports and my friend has 18" volk gt-7s.

while driving this past week i hit a pretty nasty bump (it's like a cement truck had spilled out a glob of cement and it dryed on the freeway - we have lots of these in houston ) doing about 90-95 mph... i bent my wheel. the bend isn't bad, you can't see the bend from looking at the wheel, i can't feel any vibration while driving. you can barely see a wobble in the wheel while it's rolling.

now, my friend with 18" gt-7s (and a bigger sidewall tire) hit a similar 'bump' at similar speed and his wheel had a 3-4" bend that bent the lip of the wheel into a 'v'.

not that this is any scientific proof, but the bottom line is ... volks are not as indestructable as people make them out to be.

That guy is a retard. They are probably in the top 5 for best quality wheel on the market. They are expensive but a very good example for you get what you pay for... (adr is too)
I like the adr because they aren't too expensive but comparing them to volks is like comparing a cavalier to a 350 modena.

Q:What is the purpose of a wheel?
A:Allow the vehicle to roll.

Q: If the ADR wheels do the job intended, and look good, why buy something more expensive?
A: It is a status symbol. "Look at me!"

OK, let me have it Volk owners!

Its a fact that Volks are lighter and stronger, a forged rim is superior to a cast rim knockoff.
