Look cool. Does that fit under the hood of a Z or just for G?

Hahahahahaha, all i can do at this point is laugh...throw it on the dyno.

edit: I'm not laughing at the idea or the guy that built it, just funny seeing the diamond plate used to make a plenum.

OK, this is what he did:

Using a plasma cutter he cut the top of the plenum off. Then found that Diamond Plate and welded it in the shape of the stock plenum. On the underside he milled and smoothed it out. It's tall, but it fits under the hood. He's going to polish it up so it has some bling factor. He did this by himself. Hats off to him for trying something new. He's going to dyno this week I hope. I'll post the results.

I have to give props to the fab work, i could never do that. I hope it makes good power, that would be awesome to have made it yourself and see it make equal power, or even better...more power than the Crawford or similar plenum.

edit: get some pics of the under side of that thing...i'd like to see how smooth he was able to get everything under there.

I should've last night. I'll see him again tomorrow, hopefully.

I'll bring my digital a well. The cell phone pic is weak.

i saw it in person and i have to say im very impressed with the workmanship of it. but if he's going to see any gains from it he's going to have to tune it. that thing is huge!!!!

edit: i think he's also going to port the plenum neck and throw a ported throttle body too.
