REGRET- What mods have you regreted/ changed and why?
I think you just need to calibrate it, check in the settings.
I regret selling my first Z33 (Black 2003 Track).
I regret buying a Honda S2000 after that and selling that. (Awesome car though but driving a Z33 feels much more special)
I regret buying a Z32 TT and selling that. (Horrible car! Drives like **** compared to a Z33)
I don't regret buying my current Z33 (Sunset 2003 Track).
With every car I bought and sold I lost a few thousand euro and I regret that most of all.
Luckily prices on Z33's dropped like 40% in those two years so I was able to make up most of that loss by buying my current Z33 for a lot less money than I sold my first.
Actually I only regret the money aspect because I learned a lot from every car and they kept giving me more confidence doing DIY.
With my first Z33 I didn't dare to touch it and had everything done by the dealer.. On the S2000 I installed the catback myself but let the dealer install my Tein springs. On the Z32 I started doing everything myself (coilovers, ES bushings, removing HICAS including everything under the hood) and now with my current Z33 I'm doing everything myself and am now in the process of building my first engine for FI.

Home made grounding kit didn't do a damn thing but it was only $20 bucks so I figured it was worth a shot.
Other than that just rocking cooling mods (I live in AZ) and saving up for FI.

Installed Berk HFC's last week and I hate them together with my Nismo exhaust.
My exhaust is now too loud for my liking but I would be able to live with that if it was only at WOT. But it's the drone on the highway doing a steady 3000 rpm that is just ridiculous. Maybe it's just bad luck with the specific resonance frequency of my personal car... Don't know.
Gonna sell these and try ceramic HFC's.. I need to extra flow for my Vortech Supercharger project...

As far as where to get a longer shifter, I know some companies make extensions. I'll see if I can source you one for the Z. Also, a longer shift **** will help give you the feel you're after.
As far as mods I've regretted... Aftermarket shift ****. In AZ it's way too hot for anything made of metal.

Buddy Club Super High mount seat brackets, WTF, they are supposed to be the lowest and my helmet is embeded in the headliner. Time to start fabbing up some seat mounts.
A taller shift lever has nothing to do with a short shifter. The length of the lever doesn't affect distance between gears.

haha that thing is pretty awesome. I just leave an extra hat on my shift ****.
Looks like I need to find a girl that can knit me a sweater for my shift ****. I want googly eyes, though!

I regret buying carbon fiber pieces on E-Bay from "overseas" sources.Ordered a rear
strut cover. No part of it fit.Same for dash pod/door inserts.Junk...Thank heavens for Pay
Pal.Advice:stay with companies you know rather than trying to save a few bucks
On a positive,it was great going to 19's.Also,the Hankook EVO V-12'S are for the money,
fantastic tires. They look great, ride great for all around driving. Why buy PS2'S?

Since running 275/35-18~275/40-18 I have had:
Kuhmo SPTs (18k)
Michelin Pilot Sports (16k)
Kuhmo SPTs (18k)
Yokohama S-Drives (still on them but they look like they will get 16k at they rate they are going)
I don't bother rotating because they wear out even enough that it isn't worth the cost for remounting.
These are all summer tires and I have used them all down as low as 15 degrees (no snow ever) and in torrential rain.
Of these:
I regret the Yokohama S-Drive tires.
About the same price as Kuhmo SPTs but louder and not as much grip. The plus side they look cool and the break away is predictable.
The best tire so far has been the Pilot Sports all around for noise, traction etc. but they ain't cheep. Also, the 235/35 tread is slightly wider than the 275/40 (both the SPT and S-Drive have the same tread width).
With tires lasting me about a year these days, mostly freeway, cost and noise are more of a factor than they were in the past. Might go with the Kuhmo SPTs for a third time unless I find another 275/35-18~275/40-18 combo that seems interesting and get into for under $1500 or so.
