Default just an observation

I have been visiting this site since I preordered my Z in late April although I have not posted a message. Please don't kill me for being a newbie . I have always found this site informative and civil unlike some of the othere sites around. It seems to me that everything was fine here when everyone was relying on spy pictures, first hand accounts of seeing the car, or rumors from "sources". Everyone was quick to share whatever information they had come accross.

It seems to me, JManZ, that the problems started when you made yourself available to privledged confidential information from Nissan and swore to keep it under wraps. Since then, I know I have felt (along with many others I'm sure) that a site that has always shared its info with its members, now had one person that was in the know that refused to let his fellow brother/sisters know what he knew. Just an observation. I know it is hard to turn down information on a car that your forum is dedicated to, but had you said that you didn't want to know if you couldn't pass it on to your members, would there be all this bickering

Regardless, we will all be in the know here in a couple of days and I can wait. Just thought I would voice my opinion since everyone else has

Damn, sorry I meant that to be a post not to start a new thread. What do you expect from a newbie

Jay didn't have to tell us he had the info. At least he's trying to steer us in the right direction.

The problem is some people are just too impatient. We've waited for months; we can wait a few more days for the press kit specs. And even if they're not better than the pre-production C and D specs, I'll still love my Z.

Maybe he shouldn't have told us he had the info if he couldn't tell us anything.

I agree that we can wait a few more days. Complaining about numbers that are about to be released won't get my Z here any quicker!

I disagree. Jay is doing the right thing. Some were really pissed about the weight and he told them not to worry. That the production car is lighter. If he had said nothing, then you would still have people upset...at leats he calmed them down.

Serenidad-
I was actually told of this conversation, and that's not the way it went. Maybe that's the way you took it, but it's not the way that it went. You were claiming that you had rights to the site, when in fact you didn't...He being a lawyer, said if you wanted "legal" rights to the site, then you could contribute money to the site...This in fact is PROBABLY true...Once you have a monetary investment in something, then you obviously have rights. And the ones who contribute do not get secrets and good info. You must be confused or something, because this is not true. Good luck finding the information you're looking for.

Edit: The last thread was closed for a reason. Please do not keep rehashing.

They have one of those type of tournaments here in Virginia Beach too called Hoop It Up. Some of the games are pretty fun to watch with some good talent.

Again, I wasn't trying to get on you JmanZ. I think you have put a lot of time and effort into this forum and getting us all the info you can. The frustration is just starting to show a little from some people who want to know what they have sunk their deposits into. This being my first Z, I am sure I will be satisfied no matter what! Peace.
