Default Funny Story

We have this road on base that is the width of a 6 lane highway. It was used for planes to taxi so it's huge!!! I'm flying down the road adjacent to it, and power slide into that road at like 60-80 mph!! There just happend to be a SP sitting there and saw EVERYTHING!!!
Boom! He takes off after me, follwing right behind me, but NO sirens and NO lights! By the 3rd turn I make I'm freakin out because he is just right behind me looking at me looking at him in my rear view. So I decide to hell with this, and I pull into a parkinglot, and he just drives by.... WHAT THE F%^#$!!!!!!!!
I swear, it was something out of Super Troopers!

I'd say by your reaction the SP got his point across.

SP? Is that like an MP?

The MP's on our local base, will stop anyone going over 40 KM/H!
I've gotten tickets for going 42-45 KM/H Thats like 1-1.5 MPH over the dam limit! They have nothing better to do I guess.

Hell yea, I was sideways for a good 5 seconds!! As soon as I saw the cop (sp ) and he saw my face I think it was enough! I also think he thought it was pretty cool. Kind of a young looking guy, also was an E-3 so I guess he understood

Here on Fort Bragg, N.C. practically any traffic violation seems to collect Military Police like flies to $hit. I once saw a little old lady in a Cadillac, who was probably speeding or ran a light or something, get pulled over by an MP. Inside of 5 minutes there were 3 additional MP cars on site, all with their flashing lights on, everybody out of their cruisers just milling around. I can understand a show-of-force, but everybody driving by must have thought she just stole a nuclear device or something! No wonder you can never find an MP when you need one.

Maybe she did steal a NUke, and you had no idea. HAHA, nah just playin. I know what you mean, here on eglin it's the same thing. I'm a fire fighter so we kind of have a truce with the SP's. Ususally when they do pull us over, they let us go witha warning, unless you're a smart @$$

LOL...that is super funny. I can just picture that in slow mo. You initiating the powerslide and look over to the side. As you're going into the slide, you're like (slow mo)NOOOOOOO! Dammmmn it! I'm fu#*ed! SP is like (slow mo) muhahaha you're in my turf now b*tch. Still sliding but cop starts to go after you. (Back to regular speed mode) You start to drive Grandma slow. SP is like damn it this guy is no fun and decides to leave. I think he was expecting a chase. Who knows he was probably doing the power slides himself before you got there. LOL

What does SP stand for? MP = military police I'm assuming. Funny story, quick question: Does getting a ticket by MP's or SP's affect your driving record (like in the eyes of the DMV)?

*** I hate MP's. I came onto base one night at like 3 or so and this mp pulls me over because as I'm turning at the traffic circle I had my left blinker on and then on the second part of the turn it came off and he yelled at me for not putting it back on. I was like I bet thats the most action you've seen in your ****ty *** MC career. I've been on AF bases before in my tib and always got dirty looks when they saw I was a Marine lol. My dads an SP/ Readiness SSgt and I always give him **** for it lol. He wants to drive the Z.

SP stands for Security Police, although the slang name is Sky Pig as they are Air Force cops. they are officially known as Security Forces now, but old names die hard. Some are good, some are bad, anyone who wants the job of giving fellow service members tickets for something petty is himself a "Member"

That sucks. I say military members should be able to do what they want. I think they earned the right to. Why should cops be let off the hook for speeding just because they are cops?

If you are screwing around on base and there is no one else around, then yes, I agree, but I am of the belief that we shouldn't get special treatment. Ditto for cops.

Hmm interesting. But it kinda sounds the same. If cops can do it why not military members. If military members cant...then cops shouldn't either. At my college, cops took a part of a parking lot to do an auto cross with their crown vics. NO JOKE. Fun to watch, but it was like they were teasing. I bet if I were to just barge right in and join the fun, I would be tag teamed, bum rushed, and cuffed. Then again, who knows, maybe they will find it funny and just congratulate me on such a performance...LOL.
