I still haven't seen a time slip showing your mad shifting skills. Did I miss it?

287hp upgrade to 300hp sounds like smart Nissan marketing to me.

lol.. this thread is biast. seems like everyone with 287hp backs it up, but theyre just mad they cant afford a 300hp. if the complaint is about torque, jus get an mrev2 kit.

I started modding my car but cant really see a difference in performance. I recently drove my friends new 06 300 hp 350z and couldnt believe how much slower it felt than my car when it was stock. with my stock Z i was able to spin tires shifting into second and chirp into 3rd every single time (with good tires). when i drove his, it only barely chirped into second (with the same tires)... it was dissapointing. is mine a "factory freak" or is his a "lemon"?

I like to think of myself as one of the best manual transmission drivers i know in terms of shifting correctly and extremely fast. i shifted the same speed in my friends 06 as when i do in my 03 287 hp. look forward to your responses!

So what you're saying is this thread is a "Scottish Gaelic beast"

http://www.answers.com/topic/biast

BTW ... thanks for bumping one of the best threads ever.

I actually logged on today thinking "I wonder if today is the day the glorious '287 hp vs. 300 hp' thread will get bumped".

thought the mrev2 kit was useless for the 287 motor?? read somewhere only the plenum spacer had good gains for the 287. either way to each his own, could be driver error (rookies) a little to scared to ****** that clutch. i pulled a pretty good dyno at the Z nationals with motordyne only having a jwt popcharger and x02 exhaust..(the knockoff worked..lol) 262hp and 249tq.

Not that is matters; the 300hp engine in 06' makes a little less tq. That I believe is where you are seeing the "lack" of getty up from the 287 to 300hp.

It's all about the TQ untill you want to go fast.
