Well I agree that it is already occuring to some degree. The demographic of owners has shifted quite a bit since the early 2002 to 2004 days. However, I think it will have to level off.

E36 M3's have come down a lot too , actually more that the Z and i havnt seen much ricing ( don't know what the actual term for the German cars would be) with them . I'm not scared.
It might level off if they do stop production after 2008 as is rumoured, as long as hoons keep crashing them there will be less and less, thus lowering the amount that are rice-able.
I hope.

so sad man, s2k's are such nice cars...it was my second choice below the Z.
A lower price point does not necessarily mean it will become a ''ricer'' car. Setting aside the fact that "ricer" is a poorly, and widely overused term, not all people with lower incomes have poor taste, and conversely the same is true. Not all people with money to spend, do so in a way that most will think is tasteful.
Saying that because the average price of a Z is coming down will cause it to be the new "RICE" car is a blanket statement that I do not agree with.
Get off your high horse. It's all personal taste, and if it's not your car, what difference does it make. Just let it be.
