Then you'll simply be on the other side of the fence, and be considered a redneck drivin a tank.

I don't think that the Z will ever be a ricer. If anything the ricer is the driver. All depends how he does his mods. If he goes with one of those cheap Ebay tin cans for exhuast thats becuz the driver was to cheap. Or simply can't afford it. All depends on how you look at cars themselves... But the Z will never be a ricer.

The majority of Z owners have classy parts on their car like Top Secret, Airwalker, Volk, etc....We cant control people buying a used Z and putting an Aluminum wing on it and neons...

The Z will never be the new Civic for the ricers, the civic didnt start out as a sports car and unfortunately never will be a sports car.

Maybe they should screen the people who want to buy a Z like Ferrari does and ask them a questionare.
1. Do you worship Vin Diesel
2. Do you like to take nice cars and put ridiculous things on them such as the following...
a. Aluminum Wings
b. Neons
c. Fart Cans that sound like a lawnmower..

If the answers are "No" then they can proceed with the transaction!! LOL

no offense, alot of domestic owners are idiots. they call imports rice but they have their nasty LOUD chevy, fords and dodges. raised and have giant MUD tires. COMMON, who really needs mud tires in the city???

they treat residential streets like a drag strip, i know, there's a bunch of nasty chevys down my block. screeching up and down the street all night long. blasting their sound system.

so how are 'domestics' different from the 'ricers'?
imports don't get stuck on the side of the road

I have seen a 02 Mustang GT with Aluminum Wing and Yellow neons with a fart can!! It was hilarious!! He upgraded later and got a Civic which he REALLY riced out on a whole new level!

This is hilarious, The Z will never be rice...It is in a class of Imports with Supra, EVO, STI, S2000, RX-7 etc. None of those cars are rice but of course you will see one "riced" out occasionally but it doesnt speak for the entire Kind of car....

Its like when I hear S2000 beats Z, I personally have raced 3 S2000's and smoked them all...Some drivers are better then others, It doesnt mean the Z is faster or vice versa...Every situation has a different circumstance.

well no car is rice to me until you "rice" it out. if so then my mom is a Ricer since she drives a 03 accord. no car comes from the factory rice unless you you get one of those special ordered scion TC's with the shark fin spoiler

It will never be like the other riced commuter cars mentioned because:

A.) The thing is a two-seater and too impractical to be completely affordable.
B.) Insurance is not cheap
C.) Tires (and wheels) are expensive. You can go cheap but you STILL have to go larger than a certain size for this, 287hp + at the crank, car to function.

I can't imagine 205 series on a 7" wide wheel all around, anytime soon.

To buy a new ferrari you have to have owned one (it might be two now that I think about it) previously and show that you aren't just an 'entrepeneur' who liquidated some stock options and wants a car that will attract *****. You have to buy used if it's your first.

Rims for Z's are not necessarily expensive. Here is a set of custom "Black Wheels" for $399+160(shipping) = $559. Next order some custom rubber, Wanli or Kuhmo for $100 bucks a tire, and look...still under 1G!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-BL...QQcmdZViewItem

Alot of civic owners pay that much for rims....

Oh, and my insurance dropped $50 a month from a Scion tC to a Z.

True,

But given the power output and cost of lowering and camber-correction it would still be a little pricey.

When I was a kid, we drove for days on our el cheapo tires and slammed commuter cars. 17" wheels were the limit and having a set of inexpensive wheels on a car weighing less than 2900 lbs were the norm.

Replacing 17",18",19" + tires on a rear-wheel drive staggered , 280 + hp car is another world of P.I.T.A.
