Default Does 07 Z have adaptive driving?

Does anyone know if the 07 Z's have adaptive driving? I hit 1200 miles on my Z and properly broke it in just like the manual stated. But when i punched it it didnt really feel as fast as a 306 hp car should feel.

Huh?

"Adaptive driving" means modifications a car accepts to allow people with disabilities to drive the car.

Don't think so. What you feel may be the slight "lag" of the drive-by-wire throttle, if you're used to vehicles with traditional cable-actuated throttles. Or the traction control and/or stability system may be cutting back the throttle.

I personally think once you get to about 4 or 5k milage or probably about optimum, all the components etc are all bedding in.

What were you expecting? The Z has a linear powerband. It can be deceptive.

I admit, being a new driver, its sooooooo fast but it never feels like it. I have an auto and the thing shifts so damn smoothly sometimes you dont even know it shifted, if i punch it hard, ill think im barely going yet ill have hit 60 in no time..... obviously like 5.5 seconds lol. But its amazing i always feel slow yet, i blow by people with ease, its just so stable and steady it doesnt feel like it at allllllll.

I know what he is talking about and I dont think the Nissan 350z is adaptive. What he is talking about is on some luxury cars ie.. Lexus. The engine will actually adapt to the driver and how the driver drives the car. It takes into account acceleration speed, braking ect... I dont think that it comes into play with a manual trans anyway.
Most cars and bikes need a few thousand miles before they give you their full potential. This engine should get stronger as you increase the miles on it. Of course there is a limit.

Actually 350z and all of the cars with 3.5 VQ engine do have an adaptive driving. It does not matter if your car is automatic or a manual. Engine computers adjust mixture of air and fuel and timing based on your driving habits. What that mean is if you are driving supper fast and aggressive your Z will be faster then the Z that rarely sees a redline.

I would have to say we need more info on the driving experience. Such as weather, manual or auto, what gear, are you punching it from a stop, model, it could be the traction control, etc.

Kind of. The ECU is adaptive to mods, but not your driving style.

Maybe you need to push down harder and longer on the GO pedal.

I would guess because its really only a 265WHP car. lol
Remember weight makes a difference. Also cars usually get a little more broken in and a little faster with more mileage/.

I think the overly-tall gearing makes acceleration seem deceptively slow.

Redline 1st gear and you are at 45MPH!!!
Redline 2nd gear and you are going 74 MPH!!!

Tht's just crazy... I think it would feel much faster with a shorter final drive.
