I had a Lightning try to race me once when I had my friends in my car.. memorable because he was Mexican and had a strong accent, which my friends and I imitate once in a while for fun (kinda like "ey man you want to race" with a rolled "r") so he guns it toward the 405 (we were on Valley View approaching Orangethorpe) and gets on the ramp. It was funny sitting there in traffic watching him gun it down the ramp onto the freeway racing himself

I agree. Im tempted to mess with them but never do because its not worth it.
This porsche 911 however... the dude played a little but didnt want to look at my car or race me.

 

there's a guy in town with a mitsubishi 3000gt that's all junked out trying to race me when i first got my car. at first he would always cruise up beside me and rev it. then once he followed me to the gas station saying how he's already beat a modded 350z before. i just laughed and told him to get away from my car. other than that, there's a few people that eventually want to race me just not like idiots through town.

there was a kid here who was racing in his moms cadillac for money when he was 16 or 17. He would come up to you personally and ask to race in a parking lot. i hate when ppl just ask me when I dont even know them.

how did I know it was his moms? his mom went to the same church I did.

 

had a cobra rev at me 2 nights ago.i was at a red light, and he was making a right turn.other than that, just a couple of those ****ing cobalt SS's.i hate those cars

 

but....... SS's can keep up for a good bit.

 

I don't even notice if people try to race my. I just ignore people when they're driving/acting like douches. I did however have a honda fit with fartcan try to race me when I was on my way to class. Got the good ol tailgate, and when I refused to play, he did the traditional ricer flyby. Funny how since I go to school on a mountain, his ricer flyby was alot slower than normal as his whole 95 whp wasn't letting him blast past me going uphill very fast.

 

This is how I do when people start to rev at me, I hit the brake (if there is no car behide me) and stop so they would stay 2-3 cars in front of me.
Then I just keep driving normally, behide them.

 

the best is the SUV's.. had a huuuuge suburban on like 22" chrome trying to play on the way to work this morning. now the thing is.. i generally do drive fast, so it come off like i'm trying to race but i'm truly not.. i'm just driving at my own pace, staying alert for any sign of popo.. but this ****** wouldnt leave me alone.. had that gangsta lean going on, left hand on wheel, shoulder up, leaning back, looking over his shoulder, squinting through his tint at me.. ughhh. when he realized i wasn't gonna race he started acting a fool, weaving in and out of traffic, speeding up and slowing down.. wtf. w.t.f.

 

 

Damn why do stock Zs always tailgate or blow by, try to take off right next to me? What are they trying to prove???

 

anymore i just dont care, i just set the cruise and sit in the right lane, if they want to tailgate and not pass they can just bite me

of course i do my share of 'spirited' driving on the highway late at night

Dude, f#@k it, just let them go, I had a sport car all my life and street racing is not the way (But dam it's fun)...

 

I used to get more challenges when I was NA. Since then I dont really pay as much attention or they see the intercooler and back off.

well I get ricer fly-bys from 350z's when driving my M3 all the time. I don't mind. it just means they notice you and envy you, which to me is a good thing. I take it as a compliment and give it a go sometimes.

 

just last night on my way home, I had a red 4 doors civic with a fart can tried to pace me!!!????WTF???
The funny thing was that they had 5 people in that damn car! I slowed down, it slowed down, lol...I was scared of being smoked so I laughed and hit the brake so I can be behide them!!!
