06 lights aren't cheap I can tell you that much. I bought $10,000+ worth of 06+ last month.. Guess how many sets that got me

Do a search for Limited slip in wikipedia. It'll have a much better answer than I can explain.

In a corner the rear tires turn at different rates. The outside tire turning faster than the inside. The purpose of LSD is to apply torque to the tire with traction allowing the car to better negotiate the turn.

Ripken Stadium, Aberdeen, MD 06/2006

In the photo above you can see the inside rear tire almost off the ground. Little point in applying torque to that wheel. LSD puts the torque where it is needed: the outside rear wheel.

06 and newer headlights have bi-xenon HIDs (hi and low beam). The 03-05 headlights have either no HID or have low beam HID and just normal halogen hi-beams.

The headlights also look different - the 03-05 have a amber strip on the side. The 06+ have better projectors I think

LSD makes your car change colors and shine in the darkness.

totally worth it, just don't give the car too much or it might freak out on you and crash itself.

carpe diem. or something.

In essence LSD's lock the rear axle under certain torque conditions. There are several different kinds, you should choose depending on your driving style, check wikipedia. You will also hear them called things like posi-traction or a clutch pack.
I have an 03 that I run autocross with. Just ordered the NISMO LSD kit that andy@performance was offering discout to forum members. I'll take some pix and start a thread when it arrives.

A LSd makes your car safer and puts the power evenly to the wheels where you need it.

If you do get one and your car is a daily driver go with a Carboentic LSD. These LSD have a very smooth engagement and are very quiet as oppose to typical metal type LSDs. These also last alot longer and have more locking power so you cant go wrong.

as far as I know, there are mainly two types of Diff (lsd), 1.5 way and 2.0. here are few links might help explain everything for you
www.technicaltrax.com (this is a tomei brand 2 way) good for drifting
http://osgiken.net/products/superlock.html ( this is os giken, more 1.5) great for track use and regular road driving.

I feel sorry for the people on here with nothing better to do with there life then this.^^^ Regardless thanks for all the help, (and III hate forum grammar lessons). Back to CAR talk.

I am assuming the 1.5-20 would mean that power isn’t fully transferred to one wheel- and the 1-2 means power is transferred from two wheels onto one when needed? Would that be incorrect? the dude from sin city designs said to guess how many sets of headlight for $10,000 (i know metaphorical question) i guessed 7 i dont need 7 sets just one
