I am taking octane booster with me for the drive threw the praires they have few gas stations, let alone with supreme.

1) water... a lot of water and some vitamin, integrators etc...
2) something to eat with sugars... for some quick energy
3) a damn good knife (if the worst happen and you need to cut your seat belt)
4) paper maps... a navigation unit could fail... maps not likely.
5) mylar sheets... if you get stuck and the night is cold.
6) flashlight and some spare batteries.

well I drove 55 hours across Canada. Happy to report no problems at all. I would also like to say they have to be the most comfortable seats I have traveled in. I was impressed

I got off the highway and hit up the the twisty hills of the Ozarks. That was the most fun I have ever had in my Z. Hint: When the posted speed limit for the curve is 5mph, do 5mph. Darwin almost got me a few times.
Back on topic...Take a 2+ Gallon gas can, plenty of water like someone else said, plenty of music and stand-up comedy CD's.
One thing I do now after losing my wallet on a road trip once: I take cash with me and hide it in my subwoofer enclosure...enough cash to cover fuel for the entire trip should I lose my wallet.

As long as you can stand the "close quarters" of a sports car it really shouldn't matter. The only think I can say is just watch the road carefully for those "street effects" that are not Z-friendly.
I just put mine through an 1100 mile trip in order to test my new coilovers and wheels. I'm lowered about 1.5 inches. My front end is 4 inches off the pavement and I didn't have a single issue...so I'd say go for it. Also, my girlfriend and both of our overnight bags were in the car. We had a blast.

Drove just in May from Texas to AZ. 750 miles. Then from AZ to NJ. Car was very well. Took 32 hours and 19 minutes to cover 2404 miles and drove 27 hours straight. Car when I bought it had 18,613 miles when I got back after the bs driving and the trip I had 24,400 something and had missed my service by like 400 miles.

Def. on the clear bra. I have one and it's been a lifesaver. If you value the front of your car invest in one.

I come from a civilized part of AZ
...but I'd still take his advice and grab as much of that stuff he mentioned.
