Default Road Noise

Hello! I am new to My350Z.com forums. I have an issue with my Nissan 350Z. I recently purchased some aftermarket rims for my 03 track edition. Since purchasing these wheels, my road noise is too much to handle. My wheels are starting to cup a little. I think I may need an alignment. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? I know that I will always have road noise, but can I make it to where it’s not making my ears bleed?

Road noise is normal. The Z is just loud inside. The tires, that's a known problem. Search using keyword "Tire Feathering"...

Alignment. Thats called tire roar, and your tires are feathering.

Some tires are more noisy than others. What kind of tires?

You may have a front end problem. How many miles are on the tires? Photos are helpful.

top 100 questions would be helpful to you.

what size wheels did you goto? what'd u do with the stockers? I know a guy who wants another set...so PM me if you want to sell em.

get an alignment...if you didn't wait too long, then you can keep the tires.

I'd be interested to see if anyone has found a way of decreasing road noise in the Z. Last weekend I noticed that the road noise on certain pavement conditions was pretty darn loud. It seemed to me that most of it was from the rear wheel wells. Has anyone been successful in reducing that much?

i've also noticed that the tire selection on the z i very important if you are worried about noise. I had bf goodrich kdw 2 and the road noise was crazy. I changed to nitto's and their is hardly any road noise. I have an 03 also so i should have road noise but i don't.
