You always have an excuse. There's a thing called reality. I should introduce you to it one day.

Funny, I don't believe what I read on the net all the time like you do. I believe what actually happened in person. And since that track is my home town track and not yours, and a friend saw this car, I think I have more proof than you.

Reality you will soon find out that your car is getting slow.

But you weren't there that night.

BTW, I have never talked bad about 350Z. I put many, many miles on mine and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just happened to find a Vette at a good price with very low miles (have wanted one for a long time). So, I don't know why you attempt to stir the pot with your negativity and outright lies about what I have posted.

My 350Z had issues with it but I was satisfied with it overall. My Vette has been good to me as well. Is it the fastest car, not by far. It is faster than my 350Z was, but it's an apples to oranges comparison. You talk about Vette nuthuggers... Well, you need to look in the mirror before you call someone else one. I praise both vehicles. Hell, one only has to look at how you fail to respect the performance upgrade found in the 370Z.

And you were not there but my friend was which is part of the z club here in SA. What is your fking point? You rather trust what someone posted on the internet that you have no video, time slip or anything of?

You are the one always getting into it with owners when a Vette is mentioned. It is never ending. I am not stiring the pot as I warned everyone it would turn into this when you showed up.

LOL, the 370z isn't a performance upgrade, it's a update and personally its not worth it over the 350z after I drove one it was slow as **** compared to mine and that was a NISMO version.

I agree. I know mine is faster than some vettes even if some of the vette boys here refuse to believe it. Even when my car dynos more than some stock vettes.

Shoot, I even own a old C4 in storage. Maybe one of these days I will do something with it again, but after how many repairs, I put it away.

I see my tread has gotten way off topic. thats okay...///
For the second guy that said im getting ripped off with the BCM:
if you read all the post , and do some searching about corvettes,

The 1997 EBCM is totally different than any other C5 BCM, it was a prototype, original, slower technology and more pieces, as a result there is no place to get one even under 300$ : im sorry at least not a working one

Also there is no way to program a BCM yourself, unless you have some pretty expensive engine computer diagnostic tools, they require a specific programmer that makes the computer remember everything in the car from seat position, to valve timing. You then also need a second programmer to re-activate the THEFT DETERRENT sequence of the BCM. without that a corvette will start and run just fine, then think its being stolen and shut it self down after 5-7 seconds.

As for my bill of 900 dollars this includes the BCM, plus all or any wires/circuitry that got ruined from the water, plus the labor, plus all the investigation and time to fix the leak at the top of the firewall, so all being said 900 is not so bad of a price considering i went to another mechanic and he said it could be upwards of 1400$

95% sure im gunna go with a 2006 + Z, really like the looks, actually i think it might look better than my vette(at certain angles with right rims.. lol), definetly like the interior of the Z better, havnt really felt it yet but have been looking at a LOT of pictures, I also like the idea of just having a newer car,, and i have always always always wanted a 6 speed. So,, thanks to everyone that answered my questions and i guess thanks to those who didnt too haha... once i get one i be sure to post up some nice pics!

Neither, but apparently SOLO does, since he said "we". Coulda swore the best he has done was a 13.8.

If you're going for a 2006+, just get a 2007-08 for the HR motor. Stock-for-stock it's a good bit quicker and more torquey. Plus it responds to mods A LOT better too. Also, visit the 350Z Wikipedia page, I wrote some of it and I detailed the changes made between the model years - such as what features became available on a 2006+ Z.

5s are weak.

HR motors run 4s.

Yup. The HR is a magical motor. Should be able to run consistent 10's all day.

Too bad the 370Z can only run high 16's, and vettes too.
