Corvette Owner...might buy a 350Z...convince me
Not per HPZ06 boy....they run 5s man. Z06's can't be touched, and regular Corvettes too. They have some magical power that keeps Z's away from them that there is just no way one could possibly beat one!!

Wait now im a little confuzed... i know that the 2006 is 300 bhp and the 07/08 is 306 bhp and its basically the exact motor...but arent they both a HR engine or what is the real difference between 06 and 07 that makes it respond better to mods?
The HR engine which is 2007-08 only has a much better area under curve when looking at dyno charts. It makes peak torque a lot earlier on with a much more usable curve. Additionally, horsepower curves are also better and spread out all throughout for a meaty powerband. Where as the DE makes almost all relevant power past 4500RPM, the HR is more refined in that sense.
06 is a Rev up and 07/08 is the HR , if your parents have the money you want an HR. 03 to 06 is basically the same motor, 07 is something like 70% new.

Why is it that whenever i see a parked Corvette (which south florida is infested with these **** cars) the owner (Always an older guy) is always standing next to it waiting for someone to talk to him?

You will get flamed for being 17. It's a fact and it sucks for you. But you know who you are and we don't. Don't let the flamers deter you. People will hate for a bunch of reasons - they didn't have a car as nice when they were your age, they had to work harder to get a nice car, they think age and only age is an indicator of your sensibilities and driving abilities, they are just bitter Internet haters, and the list goes on. You can't avoid the flames but you can make your own decisions and prove yourself to be responsible and tasteful with your Z. As someone else pointed out - SEARCH! Newer models = revs higher, bi-xenons, led tails, ugly a$$ hump hood and oil consumption. Older models = no revup, older head and tail lights but no hump and less significant problems. That should get u started... Now search!
