I would rather rent a house on my own, and drive a beater car than live with my parents at home and drive a Z. You are not ballin, you don't know ****, you live at home with your parents, and they pay all your other bills. Once you move out on your own, and start paying for some real ****, then come talk. But until then, you are just a kid who talks out his ***, and doesn't know what real responsibility is...

Hraesvelg, where did you get your degrees from? I'm an engineer too (Civil). I went to Cal Poly.

Just GTFO already.
Lol. Newsflash for colin I am a firefighter/paramedic for a large city and I don't make very much money. Luckily my wife has a good job and I have another job on the side. People don't do this job for the money... maybe they will pay him more than he is worth for the job like his dad did because he is a unique and special snowflake?

I never for a second thought that he makes or will make $70k as a fire fighter any time soon.

I'm just saying that what he claims he will make is not enough to pay for the house he claims he will get.

I didn't lie lmao, It was 1,000 a week cash, which worked out to 30 an hour. I was running a ****ing business managing 8 other drivers... and doing my own route... I think that's worth atleast 52k a year?? Anyways at 18 the only bills I had were my cell phone and gas, I saved up over the year 45 out of that, put 24 on my car, bought my bike for 5, and had 16 left over which went to insurance and other things.

I can show you my ownership, dealership papers, the copy of the check I gave to nissan if you still don't believe me, but then you will probably have some other reason why.

I would not be bragging on an internet forum about all that "cash" you were making if you are inferring that it was all net and no taxes. Just sayin...And if you were making that kind of money and the only bills you had were important things like cell phones, well, you need to get a life. Like move out on your own like a lot of us old farts did at your age.

It's quite possible to save up $45k in a year making $1000 a week when you have zero bills. No one is denying the math. In fact, we're acknowledging that when we talk about the fact that you live at home. What we're challenging is your candor.

And the fact that you claim to have saved up $45k in a year, but can't afford to rent an apartment.

Out of curiosity, is that $52k before or after taxes?

Some rough numbers I pulled from the CRA website states a 22% tax on someone in that income bracket. So a 22% tax on $52,000 would leave you with just over $40,000. So of that $40k, you spent $24k on the down payment, $5k on the bike, and an additional $7k in previously stated mods. leaving you with about $4,500. Long story short is you spent about 90% of your annual income on your vehicle(s). Which only proves the point of the guys you're arguing with.

Just allow him to keep digging... this is just getting better & better.
Even if all this BS is true, it just goes to show how stupid he really is.

Why would someone at that age move out on their own? It isn't logical especially when you don't have to pay for anything. Unless you're balling status that is the only logically reason for doing so. Life isn't like a movie where a person reaches 18 and ends up with an apartment, partying every weekend, has a car and all that other stuff.

Maybe the guy is lying and cares about his e-peen but I wouldn't doubt if he is making that much. I am 20 turning 21 in a few months and I have currently loaned out well over $27,000 cash to close people. When someone wants to make money they make money. ( Not trying to defend or shwoboat just my .)

Logic has nothing to do with growing up. It's not logical to work when you can sit at home and play video games, either.
