I just want you to understand that no one in this community has disrespected you nor have they in anyway judge you by your age.
They, however, are judging you based on your choices you've have made or will make. Why not just embrace on that knowlegdge and let them enlighten you?

What you see here is very watered down. Do you feel like a bad a$$ when you say the exact same thing I did? Try managing a department with 90 employess under you and then tell me about respect. Be careful not to fall, bad a$$.

Define what you consider running a business and managing 8 people. How many hour a week do your drivers work? What were you driving and did you have a life at all?

 

I felt embarrassed looking at that post. Reminded me of when I was in middle school and someone said, "You're mama!", then all the other kids gathered in a circle going "Ohhhhhhh!". As if it were the most clever/harsh put down line ever heard...

I don't think you understand the situation, My dad runs his own business, and he had a heart attack and had to have triple by pass surgury at only 45 years old and no one else knew how to run the company except me because I worked with him every summer since I was in grade 8 So i pretty much knew how to do everything so basically I had no choice but to drop out and do it because if I didn't we would loose everything.

 

Basically we would start work around 5am everyone would meet up at our shop, stock the trucks up and go, I would do my very small route (the more important calls that my dad only trusted me with) anyways I would get back to the shop around 8-9 and I would have to take stock and mostly do computer work... make orders... pay bills, invoicing... then when the other drivers got back usually around 10-12 I would send most of them home after they cleaned out there trucks and stuff then I would send 1 or 2 of them to pick up orders and do certain things... if machines broke down they would go fix them... go to the bank, different jobs, and basically that's what I did all week then when friday came around I would have to sort all the money and roll it and take it to the bank, pretty simple stuff but it was a lot with trying to manage a gf, friends and night school. for that year I didn't really have a life until my dad got better and could come in and help out with the computer stuff he wasn't allowed to go anything really physical for awhile

If you respect your fathers knowledge, I don't see why you can't acknowledge theirs?

They just want you to live a better life, and showing it in a very Caring way.

You're a good dude Colin, I already told you that. Theres no reason for you to explain yourself to anyone. I learned that the less people know about you (personally) the better, especially in the buisness world. The more people know about you the weaker you are towards them. Keep the personal info to you and close family/friends.

I wish you and your father well. There is no "deserving" a 350z. You can be a wealthy man and own everything you want but still wreck it by being a POS. You're a much better man than most guys our age and even better than some older ones. Enjoy your car. Just drive safe and dont **** it up, lol.

possibly. I just got back from a work trip to VA and have another to NY, weekend trip to Canada, and then immediately to ZdayZ and my old lady needs some tire iron plugging so time is an issue.

I can actually believe this for the most part, though I still don't see it as worth 1000 cash a week. Managing 8 people that make decent money is not very hard. I still say your dad was overpaying you to help you out. Does he pay everyone in cash as I didn't see you mention handling payroll. I am also pretty ignorant to the cost of living in Toronto, so that may be it. I find it hard to swallow that this was accomplished in 33 hours. I also don't buy the 45,000 saved in a year even though it is possible and even if its true you wasted a whole year of amazing discipline on depreciating assets. If you were making that kind of money at your age, then why leave
