You are correct, sir!

Yeah, my favorite quote too (as it applies to this forum). I wish I could take credit for it, but I too stole it from somewhere online ....

It's all about the LOLz, my friend, all about the LOLz...

And since it's been a few years since I originally posted my list, here it is again:

1970 VW 'Bug'
1973 Chevrolet Vega
1974 Chevrolet Vega GT
1974 Chevrolet Camaro
1979 Oldsmobile Hurst/ Olds
1980 Honda Civic
1983 Volkswagen GTI
1985 Honda Accord
1989 Ford Taurus
1992 Honda Civic Si
1997 Chrysler Voyager
2000 Nissan Maxima SE
1967 Ford Mustang
2003 Nissan 350Z
2005 BMW 325i

... and I think I've missed a few. At my age, one's memory gets bad ...

And, carry on kiddies... ya'll kids are ALWAYS good for the LOLz.

Perhaps you failed to read the first post and understand WHY this thread was created in the first place?

In short, this thread IS about us. Us making fun of you. Personally, I'll never understand why the 17 year olds keep coming here thinking this thread is about them.

Jeez I was 19 when this thread was created..I am 29 now and 500 pages later and here we are.

My 2 cents: although it would of been cool to have a sports car in high school (Z), I'm grateful my dad got me a used civic hatchback. Just a basic commuter car from point A to point B. I'm grateful because although good grades and responsibility got some of the kids on this forum a Z, was maturity ever a factor? I was never mature enough for a car like the Z, or even any car with 250plus hp. I remember I would speed in my hoopty Civic hatch and talk about motor swaps, turbo, racing etc. . I think you have to develope a sense of maturity on top of responsibility to appreciate the car your dreaming of owning. after my three 92-95 civic hatches, two integras (91-93 ) and (98-01) and my last favorite Honda 2001 prelude...driving record tarnished due to countless citations, I've come to appreciate my 2008 350Z.........

And when I move onto my next dream car, Porsche 911 gt2..... Il be ready... To appreciate its beauty, it's purpose, and drive it with the utmost care responsibly, using my wisdom I had developed over the last 10 years of owning less valuable cars.

I have a 7 month baby boy, and when he turns 17.... He will be getting a car a 17 yr o,d should get....a used hoopty commuter to get him from point a to b, even if he worked 2 years, is responsible, and has good grades. At that age there's more to life than owning a nice car.

Haha I did...until I met the Z . I still think it is fairly quick for what it is but it definitely does not compare to anything on here! I'm going to a dealer tomorrow night to hopefully get rid of it..don't want to mess around with selling it myself. So my plan of buying my step dads Z at the end of next month/beginning of June is looking pretty good

Dawwww, looking at this thread for the first time in a year or so reminds me of when I tried to back myself up for having one at 17

Although I will say, the cheaper this car becomes, the more the little kids feel that they have to emphasize that "I baut mah zee all bye mahself, i pwomise!"

IMO, there's nothing wrong with parents getting their kid an extremely rapidly depreciating sports car; they're a dime a dozen these days, unfortunately I have less respect for them trying to play it off like they paid for it than I would if they just owned up to the fact that daddy bought it for them.

On a different not, I must not be a part of the cool crowd...I seem to be one of the few people in here that didn't have a 240 before their Z

Hey, hon, haven't seen you around in a while -- but, frankly, I haven't been here too much either ... things aren't the same here since Hraesvelg got banned ...

And don't worry, we know you're cool ...

I was told that if I wanted a car I would find a way to get one. So that being said i started selling my stuff. Drum set Games ect.

Started with a 91 DA integra boosted(more like busted)
94 honda delsol
97 civic hatch with 2000 conversion on for front.(slammed it cambered it and had a super nice system)
sold it got a 92 honda Prelude SI 5 spd.
94 bmw 325i (learned to drift in it)
stuck with the love of RWD and bought a 06 pearl white 350Z 6 spd(love it)
