Default HR 350z Plans

I want to base this thread off my black 2007 350z and some mild issues I'm having, not with the car but with my plans. To start off, I'm buying a v3 front bumper very soon. Here's my first concern, since my car is black, I would like to know what would look best if the bumper was all-black or the bumper was black w/ the authentic metal gray color. I understand it comes down to personal preference but I would like to hear opinions on that. Second, my car sits on megan racing springs (came with the car when purchased) it's a 1.5" or 2" drop, don't know for sure. My driveway is pretty steep, but if I come in an angle I won't scrape at all. Does the V3 bumper sit lower than the oem bumper? I only ask because I don't want to scrape my bumper everytime I'm coming up. Finally, it's mostly about my v3 setup. I hope to hear some feedback. Thank you.

i think it does sit lower and because the lip stick out further, you are going to drag it. imho you need skirts to go with that bumper, by itself it doesnt look right

The V3 bumper has a longer profile and overhang than the standard bumper, so it will be scraping on a steep driveway. As to your other question, a black car with the graphite V3 lip looks better IMO. But you may want to reconsider that purchase with what you know now...

My stock height Nismo scrapes on occasional driveways and speed bumps if not taken correctly. That, as opposed to my lowered '03 which will scrape a few things but not nearly as many as the Niz.

I am installing v3 front and side currently...the sides pretty much go over our existing side skirts, and bolts in the same location, so there is no hight difference. The front bumper is abit longer than non-nismo version but the hight is even with the skirts so to answer your question , no the v3 nismo bumper is not lower than the oem bumper.

Yes, I have a lowered Nismo and the v3 is *** at scraping, not just because it is lower, but because it is longer. I can't enter or leave many entrances with it.

If it's your daily driver, you're going to have fun with it.

My opinion, the v3 without the two-tone color scheme looks horrid. Just doesnt look right. It also looks akward without the matching side skirts or rear bumper.

I think it looks off. Best thing about the v3 IMO is the contrast between the two parts of the body kit

Been thinking about for a while, I'll be going with authentic colors for the nismo bumper. That's the black and gun metal colors, most people go all black but I'm leaning towards different route....

you sir need your eyes checked, the bumper by itself says "i can't afford anything else other than the front bumper"

especially with rattle canned oem wheels
