Default Pit Maintenance Notification

I know this probably has been asked 100 times but I can't find how to reset the "engine maintenance soon" light and navigation "Pit maintenance needed Oil change" on a 2005 Nissan 350Z. I tried the pumping the gas petal 5 times, did nothing.

  5. When start blinking Release Gas Pedal, then Wait 10 Seconds.

Process seems to contradict itself
  1. Turn On Ignition. ...
  2. Depress and Release the Gas Pedal 5 Times within 5 Seconds.
  3. Then Release. ...
  4. After 10 Seconds. ...
  5. When start blinking Release Gas Pedal, then Wait 10 Seconds.
  6. After 10 Seconds, Depress Again The Gas Pedal for 10 Seconds. ...
  7. Release The Gas Pedal.
3 says release pedal after 10 seconds
5 says after blinking release (its already released in 3)

Plus, I think what you are referring to is when the light is on "Maintenance Needed Soon" my light is not on, just the Nav system saying I need an oil change.

Guess it helps when you open the owners manual, got it just need to go into info and reset - done - I don't put enough miles on this car per year to remember this stuff, getting old, time for a drink!.
