A good buy for this '03 Touring?
Searching for a friend, found a great Z touring model manual transmission WITH navigation, but it's got TONS of hwy miles 2003 with 44k, for $22,200. What should I watch out for that may need to soon be replaced with this much mileage? Also, what's the next big service? 50k? If any of you owners could pull out your scheduled interval service bulletin, that'd be great! Thanks a bunch!

Yeah the one with higher mileage may have more problems.
Like chipped paint etc. bad alignment.
but its still worth a test drive.
If everything is ok, it is worth it. b/c as long as you do maitenance, the car will last a long time.

Sorry bimmer10, but the warranty is gone if it has that many miles. Unless he got an extended warranty package, the car is only covered 3 years/36000. I would stay away from a one year old vehicle that has that many miles on it. A lot of interstate driving and you know the car was pushed to its limits. You can find a better Touring model with Nav for a couple grand more which will still have 2 years of warranty left in case anything goes wrong.
Cause with a car with that many miles, you are now running into new clutch, new brakes, new tires, etc... if those were not already performed on the car.

Also, just curious, when typically does the clutch need to be replaced--based on average non track driving?
Thanks a bunch!
P.S. Found the car on ebay, original owner. Still a little skeptical about all the miles, but owner says he travels between homes in two states...
